Il Volo to appear in Sault Ste. Marie

The Marconi Club of Sault Ste. Marie is very pleased to announce the highlight of its 100th anniversary celebration. 

Italian singing sensations Il Volo will perform at the Essar Centre on Friday, August 10 at 8 p.m. 

It will be their first stop before embarking on a North American headline tour. 

Piero Barone, 18, Ignazio Boschetto, 17 and Gianluca Ginoble, 16, also dubbed The Teenage Tenors, exploded onto the U.S. music scene and into the hearts of fans following their show stopping appearance on American Idol last year. 

Their self-titled debut CD debuted at No.6 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

Worldwide sales are approaching the one million mark. 

Already certified platinum in their homeland, the boys also appeared on major U.S. TV shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today Show, Good Morning America, The Talk, Ellen, Rachel Ray and a surprise performance on the final episode of the HBO series Entourage.

Following a pre-sale for Marconi Club members this Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday April 27, 10 a.m. at the Essar Centre box office.
