Da Prat returns to lead USW Local 2251

United Steelworkers Union, Local 2251 re-elected Mike Da Prat (shown) as President last night. He finished with 576 votes while Kevin Taylor, the only other person to run for the position, finished with 463 votes.

United Steelworkers Union, Local 2251 re-elected Mike Da Prat (shown) as President last night.

He finished with 576 votes while Kevin Taylor, the only other person to run for the position, finished with 463 votes.

Mark Molinaro is the new Vice Present.

He secured 444 votes while Bob Roussian finished with 399 and Ian Burns placed third in that race with 184 votes.

John Kallio returns as recording secretary with 591 of the votes cast while his competitor, Peter Corbett took 438 votes.

Rainer Schmitt secured top spot in the race for financial secretary.

He earned 472 of the votes cast while Dave Nash and Tom Duke took 276 and 260 votes respectively.

Returning as treasurer is Marino DeGregorio.

511 votes were claimed by DeGregorio while Sam Taranto took 391 votes and Luca Robibaro finished with 131 votes.

Krys Ferguson was acclaimed to the position of unit chair - clerical.
