Two persons arrested for March 14 St. Andrews Terrace home invasion

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Investigations Unit have arrested two persons in relation to a home invasion that occurred on March 14 at a St. Andrew’s Terrace residence. 

It is alleged that during the incident, the homeowner was sprayed in the face with bear mace and the two forced their way inside.

A laptop, a lock box and a purse were stolen from the home and the victim received non-life threatening injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, Brent Simpson, age 40, of 282 Spadina Avenue was charged with one count of break and enter, one count of disguise with intent and one count of administering a noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm. 

He is to appear in bail court this morning. 

The second accused, Cindy Morissette, age 33, of 802 Bonney Street was charged with one count of break and enter. 

She is to appear in court on May 14.
