If you happened to stroll through Bellevue Park yesterday afternoon, you were probably wondering why the heck a bunch of people dressed in plaid were hanging out in the trees.
And just what was that tall drink of water doing with that camera?
Well, the scene was set by local filmmaker Dan Nystedt to shoot a music video to launch the debut album from Frank Deresti and the Lake Effect.
Nystedt told SooToday.com the video for This Time, the album's title track, will premiere on YouTube later this coming week, just in time for The Lake Effect's CD release party.
The celebration will take place at Loplops Gallery-Lounge (651 Queen Street East) on Thursday, April 12 at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Loplops or from band members Frank Deresti, Jay Case, Josh Norling, Sheldon Jaaskelainen, and Chris Johns.
This Time will be available to event ticket-holders for $5 the evening of the CD launch.
The following day, Frank Deresti and the Lake Effect will set out on an Ontario tour that includes stops in Kingston, Ottawa, Waterloo and Windsor.
