Sault and area residents who enjoy cross-border shopping will like part of the federal budget tabled today by the Harper government.

Before paying duties, Canadians will be able to bring back $200 in goods after 24 hours and $800 after 48 or more hours outside the country as of June 1, 2012.

The current limits are $50 after a day, $200 after two days and up to $700 for a week.
