In celebration of World Water Day, Josephine Mandamin leader of the Mother Earth Water Walk, presented a Water Ceremony to all who gathered at noon at the waterfront yesterday.
In 1993 the United Nations General Assembly designated March 22 as World Water Day as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
