Register now for the Community Car Wash for Charity!

This event is almost 100% youth driven. We give you the tools and you hold a car wash at your school or an alternative location to raise funds for the charity of your choice.

“We need young leaders, student councils, and high school students to step up and champion this project at their schools and choose a charity to benefit from their efforts,” said Rob Majury, project coordinator.

Sign up and spearhead this project on behalf of your school!

“Organizers can personalize their car wash by choosing a theme like dressing in 70’s retro attire or dressing like zombies and having hordes of the undead cleaning cars. There are so many fun possibilities for this event,” continued Majury.

What’s a school-wide event without a little competition?

There will be three trophies and awards presented for the Community Car Wash for Charity to the schools and student groups who raise the most funds for their charity, wash the most cars, and deliver the best overall theme.

ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge, celebrating its fifth year, is presented by the Ministry of Citizenship & Immigration. This year, Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie has joined 25 other volunteer centres across Ontario to reach the goal of recruiting 25,000 Ontario Youth volunteers between April 15 and May 6, 2012.

All hours volunteered by local high school youth are recorded and credited towards their graduation, however, they must register in advance.
