Local businesses can learn about what makes Canada’s fastest-growing companies tick and how young businesses in Sault Ste. Marie can implement these strategies to expand, export and thrive.

Who

Ian Portsmouth, editor and associate publisher of PROFIT magazine - Canada's most-read magazine for entrepreneurs and owner-managers.

He is the host of the BMO Business Coach Podcast and the Rogers Business Series video app, as well as a director of Ontario’s Innovators Alliance, an association of growth-company CEOs.

Ian has won several awards for his business writing and editing.

KPMG's Geoff MacDonald, partner in KPMG’s Ottawa Office and Dan Coccimiglio, a KPMG research and technology advisor, will offer a how-to on reducing the cost of innovation and engineering initiatives by claiming benefits under Canada’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program and the Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit (OIDMTC).
