Search warrant leads to drug charges

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, the Emergency Services Unit and the O.P.P. Canine Unit executed a warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Pim St.

As a result of the search two males were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of a substance.

It is alleged that the two males were growing marihuana and had possession of 100 ecstasy tablets.

Arresting officers seized 6 marihuana plants, 168 grams of marihuana and 100 ecstasy pills.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $ 10,360.00.

Daniel Stevenson – Hache, age 19, of 120 Pim St. Apt # 1 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of production of a controlled substance.

James McLeod- Hache, age 21, of 120 Pim St. Apt # 1 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of production of a controlled substance.

Mr. McLeod- Hache was further charged with one count failing to appear for the purpose of identification, on December 12th 201, and one count of breach of probation.
