Missing male found dead

ELLIOT LAKE – On January 10, 2016, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised of a missing person in the town of Elliot Lake.

Police conducted an extensive search with the assistance of the OPP Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), an OPP Motorized Snow Vehicle, the OPP Canine Unit, and the Elliot Lake Fire Department.

At approximately 1 a.m. on January 11, 2016, 22-year-old William LOZIER of Elliot Lake was located deceased in the area of Horne Lake.

The investigation is continuing and no foul play is suspected at this time.

The OPP wishes to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.
