Two youths charged with possession of ecstasy

WAWA – On November 17, 2015 members of the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made several arrests in relation to a lengthy drug investigation conducted in the town of Wawa.

Due to several drug related incidents in the Community officers conducted an investigation and interviewed several witnesses. 

Investigation to date revealed that two young persons were responsible.

As a result these two young persons which cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act were charged with the following offence;

• YPC Traffick in Schedule I substance- Methylenedioxyamphetamine (Ecstasy).

The accused were released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa Ontario.

Investigation is continuing at this time.
