SAULT STE MARIE, MI - Lake Superior State University professor Heather Smith's intro to marketing class hands off a proceed check from LSSU's Hockey Remembrance Day, held on January 31, to Pullar Ice Arena Renovation Committee representatives Tony Bosbous and Bob Collia.

Specifically, the money went into a Marcus Andary benefit to rename Pullar's Section J in his honor.

Andary was a Soo native and hockey player killed in 2011 while helping a stranded motorist.

The effort helped clinch the memorial, as can be seen just above the group.

Remembrance Day was the first time the Hockey Lakers held their traditional Blue-White intrasquad game in the historic arena, where the Detroit Red Wings held summer practice throughout the 1940s and 50s, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Shown anchoring left and right are, respectively, Laker hockey players Zach Loesch and Scott Patterson.

From left are Tony Bosbous (who is also Sault, Michigan mayor), LSSU marketing professor Heather Smith, event volunteer Lindsay Koszenoja, Bob Collia, and event volunteer Jay Gage.

Run a Web search on "LSSU Discover" and "Pullar Renovation" to read more about the ice arena and coming to school at Lake State.
