Morning Friends.. Well it looks like the Weatherman got a bit mixed up today as I see that the ground is wet and there is a slight mist in the air. Guess i don"t have to water the garden so that's one chore off my list... Inside work for today i guess and I sure have lots to do..... Mallet.. How long is the " honeydo list today? :).. Oops I forgot.. Are your games on the telly today??... The weather does affect the bones ya know ( shoulder ) so you can always use that one as an excuse to get out of the chores ,lol...Later folks,,, enjoy the day, rain or not.....

Good Moning..

Calm, Calm again, so lots of bugs out and about again, not a leaf is stirring, and we had a gentle rain last evening and overnight, so no need for me to water today...Rather misty over the lake and from the look of the clouds not going to get much sun today, but it should green up the lawn nicely...

Irishfey.. when they were putting words in the dictionary, they should have put instead of cottage the word "work" but that was already taken.. The "honeydoo" list is endless, the day there is nothing to do the world will end.. As my father would always say "if you havn't got something to do, I will soon find you something", perhaps that is where I get my attitude towards todays younger people comes from..

Anyways have to get ready to go and vote, if I don't, how can I complain when they do something I disagree with..

You all have a fine day out there...

MALLET.. My how our Parents words stay with us. My Dad said the same thing and also had the term.. " If you want something to cry about, I'll give you somethinhg to cry about " ,lol.. My Dad was a strict old fella ( but loving too ) and we often felt the sting of the belt,, but that was how he was raised and thought it was right. ... Anyway,, here's a little story I'd like to share... When my Daughter was growing up and threw little fits I would correct her with a "small" swat to the behind ( never used the belt on my kids) but she was my Dads " pet" and he would always say to me.. "She's just a little girl trying to get along in the world ". As she grew older and started to backtalk him, ( then she was grounded for life! ,lol ) he changed his tune to the saying of.. " Arn't you going to do something with that kid?"" ,lol And i would reply with a smirk on my face and say.. " She's just a little girl trying to get along in the world" ,lol... I sure do miss my Dad!!.... The Honeydo list is the greatest invention made by Women!.. I find that if i ask Hubby to do something, he forgets so i find it easier to just write them down and post it on the beer fridge :) and that way he can see what needs doing without my nagging at him... I'm waiting for Hubby to come home so we can go vote together, but I'm still a wee bit " confused " and kinda " whacked out" ( smirk) from the Exorcism i had to do to the phone yesterday after Wynnes call, and I'm still not sure where to make my mark... I might just go..ennei, meenie,, and forget minnie and moe ,lol.... Later....

Irishfey...

Seems people of a certain age remember things more than young people today. If you got "six of the best" at school it was politic not to tell your parents as you might get another for being bad at school... I had a call tuesday night from Mr Hughsons people, my reply was "not if he was the last person on earth", the royal "humpy humpy" we have had from the Liberals
has cured my liberal thoughts for the elections to come for the next decade (if I am still around) or so. I have a suspicion that many people want to have a "nanny state" where everyting is done for you for "free" failing to see you pay one way or another...
northernmale 6/12/2014 1:59:20 PM Report

I had two calls for election . I asked them both the same question . If I have to pass a drug test to collect my check will you start making it mandatory for people collecting social assistance . Guess what I see nothing happening real soon. But those of us working for our money will still get to do the drug test.

mallet.. I'm still undecided about my vote and I better hurry up and make up my mind. I have always voted N.D.P, but am just afraid that will be like giving my vote to the Liberals as the N.D.P will side with them at the end if they don't get a full majority which i don't think they will... I really don't even feel like voting this year but i must... Got any ideas on this????

Irishfey..

Far be it for me to advise anyone on who to vote for. I know who I support, and the reasons for doing so, but those reason may not be yours. For me the problem is that no matter what Ms Wynne says, sooner or later the bankers are going to charge her more for the money she borrows to fulfil her promises, if they are kept, and then she will have to do a "Dalton" and institute "User Fees" which we shall have to pay.. I think a dose of restraint is called for, I am not sure that Hudak will hand out pink slips the next day if elected, but I think many ministries are top heavy with deputies for deputies and that has to stop somewhere. Just check how many "superintendents" the school boards have and that is just local, get down to Toronto and they come out of the woodwork.. Which should give you an idea which way I have voted, even if it is a waste...I can complain...
irishfey 6/12/2014 6:29:06 PM Report

We just came back from doing our Civic Duty ,lol I didn't read your post Mallet before i left but i gather i ( we )voted the same as you did by the sounds of it... My Dad will most likely haunt me tonight, but that's ok :).. Now we just wait and see!!... CELESTE, yes i know where they are,, maby someday I'll drop in and try my luck.... Supper now and most likely bed and another book... Sleep tight folks, tomorrows another day no mattter what Party gets in.....
