Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. How do things look now?
Jimssm 6/7/2014 6:59:25 AM Report

I woke up so that's a good start.
irishfey 6/7/2014 8:32:42 AM Report

Ooby dooby friends ( smirk ,lol )... SOOWAT.. That was a good morning post. I had a rough day yesterday dealing with IN. Co. that were taking tripple amounts of $$ from our account due to an oversight on their part. Things like that just peeve me off!. Have it all settled now but took me most of the day to cool off. You're right, things look better today... JIMSSSM.. Hubby always says... " Everyday above ground is a good day". Jim, what are your views on that Soldier ( as being one yourself ) that was traded and brought back home to the U.S??... Anyway.. Today is free dump day so we will be getting rid of some stuff and working outside as it's supposed to rain tomorrow... MALLETT.. Our pallet garden is working out well but we have a little Chipmunk that seems to like to nibble on them a bit,, cute little fella but if he keeps it up i think his days are numbered. I hate to see this happen. Do you think if i put out some peanuts for him at the other end of the yard he will just stick to that?. He is so cute but i know they can do a lot of damage if he gets into the garage.... Later folks....
mallet 6/7/2014 10:27:52 AM Report

Good Morning Folks..

A beautiful day in this neighbourhood, one can almost hear the silence, no doubt some rotten fecker will screw that up sooner, rather than later...

Sifted a yard of topsoil yesterday, from the truck load we had a couple of years ago and didn't use all of it. Lots of roots from weeds in it so had to clean it the hard way.

Soowat.. My father always said tomorrow is a day you haven't wasted yet boy..

Jimssm.. Treat everyday as if it were your last... one day it will be..

Irishfey... do you have your pallets on the ground or did you raise them?? Mine are about 36 inches off the ground, haven't seen any little critters on the top yet. I have a little pellet pistol, an old .22 webley, nice to keep the hand in!!

You all have a great weekend...
irishfey 6/7/2014 11:23:40 AM Report

MALLET.. We put ours on the ground. We only had to put two down. What we did was till up the ground a wee bit, shook out a few weeds then overturned the soil, then added a bit more of the store bought soil to make it higher. We only tilled up the soil in case the veggie roots went down a bit further and wouldn't hit hard ground. We put in the peppers , cauliflower and broccoli and maybe something else,, can't remember. The plants were already started.... Looks good though, all coming up nice.... We also banked the pallets with soil so the earth wouldn't wash away. I think our little critter has a nest in the woodpile and it's close to the garden,, was the only place we could put it to get the sun. I hate do do away with the little fella as years back i had some eating out of my hands, just loved it.... Hope you remembered to " bank" or board in your pallets on the ends and sides so the soil will stay intact..... Later
irishfey 6/7/2014 11:44:41 AM Report

Meant... hate " to" do away....

Irishfey
I am holding a white flag over my keyboard. This is a peace offering.
From your many posts, I gather that you are a devoted reader. I am also. Do you read books in paper or electronic form. If you use a kobo or kindle or nook or any other reader, I can provide you with as many books as you will read in a lifetime.
Mallet, I make you the same offer. Genre is no problem.
irishfey 6/7/2014 2:20:45 PM Report

MALLET.. Re RED.. You go first,lol... White flag or not, he's probably going to give me a Dictionary or a book that says... " See Spot Run",,lol..jk :).. Thanks Red but the only books i read are paperbacks. The only electronic reading is from sites from the Internet ( if that's what you call electronic reading.) At risk of making myself look stupid ( like most times :)) I never heard of kobo, kindle or nook,, but i did just look them up to see if you were sincere, and you were, thank you... My choice in reading are books that have to do with the Amish life, Irish love stories , The Bible and Bible Prophecy plus many more types.... By electronic reading.. do you mean reading from those " tablets" that the folks have? If so, i don't have one of those.... And since you held up the white flag, I'm sorry i butted in with your post.. It was to Mallet and not me..... Maybe some other time i will take you up on your offer, thank you....
mallet 6/7/2014 2:35:25 PM Report

Redranger..

Thank you for the offer, however I am not into the video gadgets except the computer. The only game I have on here is "solitaire". Many moons ago I did the Shakespeare thing and found it IMO rather dull, although the way some insults are phrased quite neatly.. Now I am into the late Clancy novels, a few Creigton (did I spell that correct) but not a lot of time for reading except during the winter months when snowblowing (ughhh) duties do not exist...
irishfey 6/7/2014 2:43:26 PM Report

RED... Peace???? :)
celeste5 6/7/2014 2:58:26 PM Report

Good afternoon everyone.

I biked over to my brother and sister inlaws house,
stayed there for almost two hours.
I also got a flat on my front wheel,
on the way over there,
so I asked a man if he had a pump,
but the tire wouldn`t hold the air,
because the air stem was broke on the bike.
So I had to call my husband and he took the bike home to fix it.
I also sat outside with my elderly neighbor three times today,
So I`m tired now, too much sun.
Jimssm 6/7/2014 4:40:26 PM Report

Irish...

Regarding the US soldier trade..

I won't judge him as he spent a lot of time in a tiny room...not exactly a fun time.

He will have his day in court and will have to live with the verdict. But he is a US citizen and is a lot better off back home, even if that is a prison.
irishfey 6/7/2014 8:01:27 PM Report

CELESTE...Well at least you got a bit of rideing in today. Hope you get the bike fixed soon. Your elderly neighbour most likely enjoyed your company as some get lonely, bless you... Thought we were getting a lot of rain tomorrow but i guess not... Just came back from supper and took Buddy for his walk...... JIMSSM, Yes i guess we shouldn't judge but i heard on the news that the fella left to go see if he could join the Taliban.. who knows,, the story will come out sooner or later,, but what i don't understand is Obama makeing a trade like that. I thought they would not ever make a deal with the Taliban??.. Anyway..I have to go make the beds up, all i did was laundry all day,, love it when the sheets come off the line :)... Have a nice night all,, and CELESTE,, nighty night.....God bless...

Hey mallet:just a week away from England's glorious foray into yet another World Cup . It''s the only time I watch tv for prolonged lengths of time. I'm down in London Ont. And took my grandson to Sportchek as he loves to browse there. I had contemplated buying an official Brazuca ball that Adidas have designed for the World Cup. $150!! I think not!
mallet 6/7/2014 8:24:43 PM Report

Hi Shakespeare..

Yes, I have a notion that they will not get far past the round robin play and if very VERY lucky may get to the quarter finals. but I think the bookies are right that it will be either Brazil or Argentina who make the final and its 50/50 who will be the winner. Anything to do with any of the major tourneys gets very expensive, you start looking at the home and away strip for the major clubs in the UK and you are into the 50/60 dollar cost for a shirt. As for anything that FIFA touches and you double triple the price and NO I would not pay that for a football either, Crappy tire or any of the other sports shops have them cheaper and you can kick them, hate to kick something that cost that much, but then again I was born halfway up the Wailing Wall by Scotish parents!!!
