Life is a one-way street and you're not coming back so try not to take any wrong turns.
Read the above the other day and to me it was such a basic truth that I thought I would share it.

Pink Peony, I don't know if you have ever seen this advertisement on TV but you may be interested in this.

"Life is a one-way street and you're not coming back so try not to take any wrong turns."

I like that! I have to add, if you do take a wrong turn, don't beat yourself up and continue down the wrong road. Learn and take something positive from the experience and hang onto it as you head down another road.

Spellchecker, that's great!! Thanks:) I haven't seen the commercial...I got rid of cable a while back. No more commercials for me.

Morning Folks...

Nice and sunny out here today, lake is glassy calm with just a few ice floes floating about, cannot remember this length of time without high winds and big waves...

Lots to do today, so you all have a great day ...

Morning all, Mallet same here nice and calm,if you're short of ice there's lots in front of my place, just a small breeze now and maybe, might go your way.

No Thanks, that's okay that it is round your place, we do not need anymore round here. They sure are getting an early start on replacing damaged culverts etc, the two we had to have done here are already in. The road is marked up for the SST that was supposed to be done last year but not the new areas as yet, Jamie said he was going to use a different coloured paint so they don't get mixed up, but I havn't seen that yet.

Oh well back at it...lunch time is over...

Afternoon all.. Soowat , that was nice!! What a beauty of a day!... I won't be on as much now, just too much i want to do. I will check in from time to time to say hi and see how folks are doing. I will leave you with this little tidbit that i always loved... Is called FAITH..... "When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, FAITH is knowing that one of two things will happen; There will be something solid to stand on,.. or.. You will be taught how to fly."..... God bless you......

Mallet last year they painted Orange this year it's yellow for the new work. He's replacing a culvert in front of my house and moving it more in line with the creek that runs on the property line, now I can plant a nice hedge in front, just what I wanted more work.

The stepping out into the unknown, that has been tried a few times, I understand that some U S personnel used that as a way of persuading certain Vietnamese to spill the beans so to speak, not sure how that worked out for them though, because dead men tell no tales.. we tried it, but we would only be a couple of feet off the ground in a helicopter, something about the rules of warfare... if the other side has no rules why do we have to have them...

Got some wood split this afternoon, not as much as I would have liked but, this getting old business is for the birds, what I used to be able to do all day now takes me all day to do it.. And the wind has dropped again...however I do see something white on the horizon, hopefully it will visit the states and the border patrol can deal with it...

Mallet, I hear you, good job for the young guys, where is Celest today, maybe got caught speeding on her
celeste5 5/14/2014 6:22:06 PM Report

Good afternoon.

No speeding ticket,
but I did get a warning one time,
from Constable Tempest a few years ago.
I was riding on the shoulder of the rode facing the traffic.
He told me that was a dangerous thing to do, but where I was riding it was wide.
There was a steady flow of traffic that day and I got tired of waiting for a opening.
My husband told me if I get a ticket,I would have to pay it myself,
I told him, I would just spend the night in jail, LOL.

I have a big gap in space, I`m not going to fill it.
I`m tired, lots of sun today, I should have a good sleep tonight.
