Good morning everyone.

I was up early,
I went to bed at 8:45.

Get out and enjoy the day,
We have 6 days of rain coming.
Hopefully it just rains a part of those days,
That I could live with.

Good morning Celest5, I better get my work outside done early with that forecast, hope my neighbors don't mind.
soowat 5/12/2014 7:19:24 AM Report

Went out to Harmony for the annual smelt feed which was as good as ever.
Better still, was the drive out to Harmony. Too use the old expression, Lake Superior was as "smooth as glass." When we got out of the car at Harmony the temperature was warm enough that we were comfortable going for a brief walk along the beach, All in all, a day that made me glad to be a northern Ontario resident

Morning Folks...

Unlike the people at Sudbury I look out the window to see what the weather is doing... It is fairly overcast out here, getting towards double digits, and again not a breath of wind. Not as great a sunset as Saturdays, but quite colourful. The ice is still covering the bay though and that is keeping the water surface very calm, not a ripple hardly..

Soowat, Yes, mother and I take our outing for supper to Harmony Hotel, their all you can eat whitefish fridays is quite busy... and always good..

Bounder... That is the nice thing about being here, not too many neighbours to bother us, and I do not look into their rooms, lots of elbow space...

You all have a great day out there ..... and don't forget the 'brolly... they might be correct... eventually...

This appeals to me.

Picture of a Semi trailer advertising that it is from the Batesville casket company. The following is printed on the trailer:

"Don't text and drive Your casket may be on the next shipment."

That should appeal to everyone,
It`s an Epidemic right now.
Sh+t, I don`t even change the radio station when I drive.
mallet 5/12/2014 4:16:52 PM Report

Aww heck, turned out to be correct, the forecast, turned wet and windy, getting some waves on the bay now, and it is breaking up the ice floes... However I at least got the logs all bucked up, and ready for splitting.

Irishfey.. Got a pallet all set up and ready for planting... going to try some lettuce, the hares and rabbits got into ours, years ago and we didnt bother again, but put legs on the pallet, so A. don't have to bend, and B. don't think they can jump that high.

Between the vibration from the chainsaw and the weather I know one thing, my elbows are really sore, but I have a difference of opinion with my doctor, how can I have tennis and golfer's elbows when I don't play either games???
bounder 5/12/2014 4:56:45 PM Report

Mallet, finished splitting and half the load piled, now have to wait for the old pile to dry out before it goes in the shed, only then can I finish piling the remaining supplier won't deliver half loads anymore, only full ones.Hope it quits raining for a couple of weeks.
bounder 5/12/2014 4:58:16 PM Report

Mallet what kind of saw you using.
mallet 5/12/2014 5:46:49 PM Report

I have 2... a Poulan for small stuff and a Husqvana for the big stuff (10 inch diameter and larger). As I said I have bum elbows, 40 odd years of air impact tools (2 inch drive and 5 inch extended sockets) kinda plays havoc with the arms and shoulders and other joints. Plus a mispent youth, makes one older than a certain biblical character, or feel that way!!!
Wicket 5/12/2014 5:50:55 PM Report

Waiting to hear from Irishfey about the health of her husband, hope everything is alright.
bounder 5/12/2014 5:53:23 PM Report

Mallet got rid of my Poulain was a piece of crap, got 2 Sthil now both rubber mounted like your big one, the Poulain used to give me a buzz in my fingers. One is 16 in and the other 20 in, but I told my supplier not to bring me any logs larger than 16 in. Most of the time he does.
irishfey 5/12/2014 7:09:36 PM Report

Evening all.. All went good today, no blockage found, what a relief! ( Thanks for asking Wicket).. Still, a change of lifestyle is needed (both ) so we are on it... Hubby has to lay low for a few days so the opening won't open up where the needle was put in. I didn't get much sleep last night and we were up at four am. to leave here by six. I had to drive home and was sooooo tired i even ran a red light! Thank God no one was around!! ( to hit) and by the time we got home my eyes were closing... Hubby said that he was glad his heart was good or my driving would have done him in ,lol I will never drive being that tired again, but had no choice today, and was my first experience in that area... scarry!! DAMN Fibromyaliga!! Just from the stress of today, i ache like a son of a .. gun..! Wish there was a cure for it!!! MALLET.. glad you have the pallet up and running.. poor Bunnys ,lol.... Off to bed for us, and please excuse my spelling mistakes, am just too tired to look up the right words. I think the rain plays a good part in the aching bones too. Mallet, if it was JOB you were referring too, well i feel like i'm JOB reincarnate!.. You all have a blessed night and God bless!... SPELLY.. I will start my proper spelling tomorrow :)
Wicket 5/12/2014 7:59:28 PM Report

Good news, thanks for answering Irishfey, and I'm not surprised about a bit of a life style change, I think we almost all require that as we get older.
