Bongiorno Mallet:

Watch for the UV, and the VW, listen to BBC and watch CBC and good luck with the AAD, watch for ACTH and if everything goes bad, get a BE.

I have a great view from my kitchen window of a robin building her nest. It's amazing to see! She works so hard! She uses her belly to shape the inside of the nest. It seems her belly is getting bigger by the day. She started building it early Tuesday evening. It's not a good spot but we'll see what happens.

Morning People...

Let's start with the old nursery rhyme..
Rain, Rain, go away
come again another day..

Having got that out of my system let me see, yes it is raining here too, not a breath of wind, and it is not that warm either..

The snow banks and drifts are gradually going, but the ground underneath is still frozen. I have a thief around here, one of those little things that have a eye mask on, namely a Racoon who has a liking for bird seed, I just wish my fingers were that nimble again. Shy little bugger, everytime I get a bead on him he takes off, I wish I could get a shot off that quick.

Just cannot get up the enthusiasm to get out into the garden, I started raking what I could and then it turned wet, and I am not into it that much, it can wait until it is dryer.

Just the usual things today go get the mail and paper, then back to a Clancy novel...

TGIF you all have a great weekend out there..
Pink Peony 5/2/2014 12:02:34 PM Report

I did a bit of cleaning up in my garden the other day when it was sunny out. Cut and burned some brush. Cleared out some junk from the garage. Great day that was but boy am I out of shape. I ached from head to toe the next day, lol. It only lasted a day though! Looking forward to being outdoors all day and evening without having to bundle up. It's been a long cold winter! I ordered my wood stove yesterday. I'm just trying to decide on the floor to go under and around it now. Decisions, decisions. It'll be nice to feel warm next winter!
irishfey 5/2/2014 12:31:12 PM Report

J.C... Glad Scruff"s ( good name ,lol ) is his usaual self, just like his owner :).. Wise of you to stay away from the B.R, but i think it"s safe for awhile.... Buddy is doing GREAT, better than the rest of us. He loves his walks and if i don"t feel like going, i sure hear about it till i do,, I think the operation gave me 10 more years with him ,lol... What a blessing they are huh?... Glad you are back!!!!.. tty all later, cleaning calls......P.P.... So happy you have your stove!!!!
irishfey 5/2/2014 12:46:41 PM Report

Mallet... Wait till the outside dries up a bit,, easier on the back!!
irishfey 5/2/2014 12:50:51 PM Report

Ahhh, the heck with the housework,,, naptime and a good book sounds better ,besides ,i left a list for Hubby to do , hee hee..gotta " milk " it while i can......
irishfey 5/2/2014 2:20:03 PM Report

I thought about my last post and thought that maby some will think i"m working Hubby too hard. He"s doing things like picking up his drill bits, screws and his " stuff" from off the china cabnet, from inside my pantry and every nook and crany that he stashes his stuff and is picking up his tools from around the house and outside and putting them all in his GARAGE where they belong!!!... Yep, i"m working the old fart to death ,lol I am a good wife and will find all sorts of little things he can do around the house to keep his mind off of not smoking ,:)...
tea granny 5/2/2014 4:25:39 PM Report

Irish I know exactly what you mean, they think that tools and hardware look very nice here and there throughout the living room ....and kitchen and computer room and etc .....
mallet 5/2/2014 4:50:07 PM Report

Tea Granny and Irishfey..

You expect us to go out into a freezing cold garage or shed to get tools, to fix something for you (you probably broke) and then take them back outside into the cold again. Tools, especially electric ones do not like to go from cold to hot back to cold again, that way they do not last long, unless of course you would like to BUY US NEW ONES EVERY YEAR??? I got lots more excuses for bringing tools inside and leaving them there, but there again I am a male.... LOL.
irishfey 5/2/2014 8:33:03 PM Report

Thank you Teagranny,, and MALLET,, now i know you are really a MALE!! His fecking garage is right next to the house and it"s heated! You guys are sure alike, he gives me the same excuses you did ,lol... We have a storage room in the basement too, but oh no,, the tools have to be everywhere!.. I found his tape measure on the bathroom window ledge last week, then he asks me where it is !! Sympathys to your Wife :).. I give up ,lol. but sure wouldn"t want to be without him... Have a great night folks and God bless....
