Good morning Mallet, have the boots ready. An umbrella will also help you.

Q: What do you call four crows milling about on the side of a road?

A: An attempted murder!

Good one Bobby! Good morning everyone.

Morning Folks..

A rather grey dull day out here this Am, a little breeze but not much, and the lake is still frozen over.

Usual chore today trip to the store for paper and mail etc...and then going to Harmony for supper.

Bobby... Yes I do live in the Goulais postal area, but that does not mean I live in Goulais itself. The Goulais and district Local Services Board covers about 8 townships, so it is a fairly large area. I am on the south shore of Batchawana Bay, and I am about 20/25ft above the lake level and if I have to paddle on my front deck, boy, are you in trouble!!!

T G I F,,, you all have a nice weekend..

Morning folks,, Heres one to start your day.......One day an older Gent sat on his usual bench at the Bus stop watching people board and depart from the Bus. He noticed a young Man get off the bus who was sporting a very colourful Iroquois hairsyle. The young Man spotted the older Gent watching him with a grin on his face so he walked over to the old fella and asked " What"s the matter old timer, didn"t you ever do anything crazy in your life"? The old Gent replied without a blink and said "why yes i have, I once had sex with a Parrot and was just wondering if you might be my Son "...... Have a great day folks...

mallet:

Any truth to the rumour that there's a guy in the Goulais area sporting a long beard and loading animals onto a boat two by two?
celeste5 4/25/2014 12:12:46 PM Report

Good afternoon

Gee, it's a cold, windy day, I don't even want to be outside.
I was talking to this lady, she said,
We're suppose to have a rainy summer,
I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Later

Celeste.. That"s why i saved the inside work for today, now all i have to do is get off my butt and get it done... Did you like my joke?? oh well, i tried ,lol... Enjoy the day....
mallet 4/25/2014 12:36:47 PM Report

Soowat...

I don't know.. it's high and dry here, maybe those who are in the river flood plain area might have their wellies handy, but like I said to Bobby, if I get wet feet you folks in the Sault are, well, screwed!!
irishfey 4/25/2014 1:12:28 PM Report

Mallet.. I have some very large trees in my backyard.. would a treehouse help?:)
celeste5 4/25/2014 1:14:26 PM Report

Irishfey

No, I didn't like your joke,
Because it didn't make me laugh.
Could you do better, please.
irishfey 4/25/2014 1:23:22 PM Report

Celeste.. sorry about that.. to each their own i guess.....
bounder 4/25/2014 2:17:28 PM Report

Good day no rain and none of that white stuff. Finally finished the cutting now it's split and split some more. Break time.
mallet 4/25/2014 3:42:57 PM Report

Bounder...

I trust you have some mechanical advantage for the splitting part. I have found that, the guy who jumped into the bath and yelled "eureka" had the right idea... The axe part is okay until you find a knotty piece, then it turns into hard work.. 5hp and 4x24 inches of hydraulic power is much easier..even my wife can use the controls!!!
bounder 4/25/2014 4:02:37 PM Report

Mallet. I built my own about 14 years ago, 2o in x 5 in lots of power, the big thing is to have a big rod so it comes back faster, still working good.
mallet 4/25/2014 4:15:03 PM Report

Bounder...

I bought one about 10/12 years ago and have modified it quite a bit... Put wind up jacks at the back and a adjustable leg at the front and added wider bed so large blocks don't fall on the toes etc... It makes it a lot easier to be able to raise or lower for the person who is doing the lifting part of the operation, bought ones are made for midgets or vertically chellanged people!!
redranger 4/25/2014 4:28:49 PM Report

Mallet
He jumped out of the bath. Just thought you would like to know.
Bobby Nerves 4/25/2014 6:11:44 PM Report

Mallet, my dear Mallet, why do you presume that much about being in the high... When I was younger, I always picked the highest one to punch down, just because I like the noise they do when they land. The higher the better.

Did you think for a moment that if the water ever gets up there you'll be in a real problem?

Perhaps you are interested in reconsidering you position.

Ta...ta...ta!
Bobby Nerves 4/25/2014 6:22:25 PM Report

@tea granny:

Thank you for your compliment.

It's truly appreciated.
I do an effort to be a happy person and I believe there is no better choice than surround myself with happy people.
Most likely you've noticed I only share with Mallet as he will rarely act as a wall to reflect what I said, but he's an opponent with an excellent sense of humor and I like the british humor, they are so sarcastic and incisive that you enjoy when they get to the necessary speed.

He never know, neither do I, whether the issue is serious or a joke, but he can take anything and make it sound highly ceremonial.

Please, if you have some funny stories, share them with us, and if you do not have even one, invent them, we'll laugh loudly and you'll fill compensated.

Thank you again for your honest acknowledgement, it's my personal struggle.
irishfey 4/25/2014 8:28:36 PM Report
