Good day another three inches on the ground, enough said.
Grump 4/17/2014 6:15:54 AM Report

Good morning everyone. I can understand your excitement Bounder as it's seldom you get to see three inches. Have a great day all.

Thwarted Liberal candidate Christine Innes sues Justin Trudeau for defamation

Just keeps on getting bigger...life in Ottawa...geesh
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 8:11:17 AM Report

Dave, late today, the Ombudsman if gonna give you some food for your comments, a report of observations regarding the TCHC, with the Ford man at the helm.

Hiring, firing and promotions galore. Money spread in foggy deals and more.

But, why wait for it, when you can have it here and early:

http://www.ombudstoronto.ca/sites/default/files/Final%20Report%20TCHC.pdf

Do an honest reading, not a selective reference.
undecided 4/17/2014 8:28:26 AM Report

Dave Keep rehashing the same old tired story Politicians get sued every week Trudeau only 1.5 mill Why not mention Hudak and co getting sued for a whooping 2 mill for libel no less.
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 8:37:10 AM Report

And on top, J. Trudeaus and the Liberals are sued for something they didn't do or say, as they simply deny.

In the meantime Hudak is sued for big mouth and propaganda bravado and flagrant ignorance of the limitations of his immunities.

If Mr. Hudak had a bit of political ability, he wouldn't express accusations that will not pass the test of a Court of Law, in public (outside the Legislature), but rather in the Legislature, but of course, charlatans enjoy showing the size of their mouth.

Randomly seen in this bulletin board.

flyhawk25 4/17/2014 8:41:48 AM Report

Now get ready for the neo-con spin. How about a sentence with Trudeau and pot or the F Bomb.
undecided 4/17/2014 8:49:37 AM Report

or the left loving media for only mentioning Hudak oh wait CBC did a story about Trudeau also.
Wisenheimer 4/17/2014 8:51:53 AM Report

Fly ... ok .. how about your boy yucking it up doing selfies at Jim Flaherty's funeral?
Got yourself a real winner there Gramps.
right wing 4/17/2014 8:57:33 AM Report

How about this bomb....somewhere between 65% and 70% of Canadians don’t want Justin Trudeau to be prime minister.
That is according to polls done by those that actually show up and vote.
...you know, the ones that actually count.
Two out of every three Canadians do not believe that Justin Trudeau has what it takes to lead this country.
Now polls this far ahead of an election don't mean much but imagine when the debates are held and J.T. gets to babble about what he knows the most...
It's going to be akin to a Saturday Night Live skit....
David Poluck 4/17/2014 9:06:49 AM Report

Don't mistake my posts for picking a side. All of the drama is of interest. Both sides of the floor
The JT post was a follow up from the day before and how once rolling the litigation wheel starts picking up speed.

Please post away with all the goodies from all links and stories you find out in the cyber universe.Keeps it interesting and our minds off of the snow!
right wing 4/17/2014 9:08:48 AM Report

Wisen

J.T. can do whatever wherever, as he cannot put a definition to "class", something which he places himself above all.
David Poluck 4/17/2014 9:15:21 AM Report

Bobby, Took a look at the link.
Talk about bureaucratic failure. In the extreme.
Wonder if this is an issue here in the Sault?
flyhawk25 4/17/2014 9:32:07 AM Report

I love it.
First of all we're told that polls this far from an election mean little.
But - wait for it - if they did the majority of Canadians don't want Trudeau Lite as PM.
So what is the point?
I don't want him much either but he sure is a better choice than the despot currently ruining our country.
That is an opinion. Not a poll.
I know the difference.
mallet 4/17/2014 9:46:32 AM Report

Flyhawk...

I am not sure that is the right word, if Mr Harper was a despot his nominee would be sitting on the bench of the SCC. His crime bill would not be being chellanged and losing in courts, in fact there are many little items where he has not had his way. However if you say the Government is a despot then I will totally agree with you, any government with a majority falls under that heading for they can pass what bills/laws they want, but that is democracy is it not??
Wisenheimer 4/17/2014 9:48:57 AM Report

You should love it! Best banking system in the world, best economy of the G7, balanced budget in the bag, thanks to Flaherty.
I would give the Liberals credit if they could duplicate.
Too bad you can't think outside your partisanship.
Wisenheimer 4/17/2014 9:54:14 AM Report

Rumour has it SSM got a few more heavy inches of global warming.
IPCC responds ... "ignore the man behind the curtain we have an agenda to promote".
undecided 4/17/2014 10:03:09 AM Report

Wisen what part of our banking system did Flaherty or Harper have anything to do with except try to deregulate before the recession hit Which they both denied would happen .But hey keep preaching to the choir. LOL
BIG BROTHER 4/17/2014 10:36:36 AM Report

mallet,
And you don't see the irony in what you're saying. That is the blindness of partisanship.

Thankfully, we still have checks and balances for despots, but he is attempting to undermine all of those institutions, with his stacking the Senate after claiming he would reform or at least not appoint new senators.
Mr. Poster 4/17/2014 10:51:02 AM Report

Would any government or any new prime minister REALLY make a difference? I see them as coming out of the same kettle of fish.

PROMISE...GET ELECTED...FORGET THE PROMISES
BIG BROTHER 4/17/2014 11:04:49 AM Report

Trudeau did more to reform the Senate, with a simple disassociation from them, than Harper has even attempted to do in his tenure.

I know he can't just make reforms, but he campaigned on it and people were led to believe he could and would. He at least said he wouldn't make any appointments. He now holds the new record for appointments. And all the other things you mentioned, which I hadn't remembered, are all obvious to most people, except he tried to use his power to enact.

The economy was structured by Chretien. As Poster stated, he wanted to reform the regulations, but the minority situation prevented it. Those same regulations are what saved Canada's arse during the recession. Sad that Flaherty died, but he would have been instrumental in dismantling those regs. It took about a year before Flaherty even acknowledged that there was a world wide recession going on.
flyhawk25 4/17/2014 11:17:57 AM Report

BB...history will judge Harper. And it will not be complimentary.
Grump 4/17/2014 11:49:18 AM Report

Wisen my little turnip ,you missed a couple of items on your list. Failed to produce a balanced budget and ran up the highest debt in Canadian History. Just another fine example of the new Conservatives, spend and borrow. Bounder I don't have a gut and length problem but it's obvious you do, so har, har to you twit.
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 12:11:47 PM Report

Great 1-2 punch Grump.

There they are, both are KO on the snow!

Don't call them names, because they'll use that spoon to feed themselves and walk away from the real issue.

That's the way to go, you threaten below the belt with the right, and hit them with the left, then the one two. Straight left, then the one-two and one-two again combo. Show a bit of legs movement, and punch them freely.
The public is roaring!

Now, grab the bag and singing to the bank!
pride 4/17/2014 1:23:41 PM Report

undecided 4/17/2014 2:51:51 PM Report

Notice when you post facts about our amazing banking system for being the biggest reason why we are the envy of the world Wisen, RW and the like go into hiding. Apparently they can't find anything on google with some obscure fact on any right wing site to come back with
Grump 4/17/2014 3:13:38 PM Report

undecided, Yes facts do confuse the hell out of them. What adds to that confusion is Fox and the others don't deal in facts either. So the best they have is to pass the same garbage back and forth to one another.
Grump 4/17/2014 4:25:07 PM Report

Bounder stick to the facts for a change. I am 240 and for an old fellow I still function well. While you and Steely may be into that stuff, I'm not, so no proof there. That said if you want me to buy you a steak for your face, then drop by anytime. I would be happy to do that for you.
BIG BROTHER 4/17/2014 4:28:45 PM Report

Gotta love the so-called foreign worker program. Think of the profits Mickey Dee's will rack up with their skilled work force. It was real popular in the Southern US, 200 years ago. Foreign workers from Africa received an all expense paid, one way trip to the US. They were set up in free housing, with their beds somewhere between the pigs and the cows, if there was room enough. Otherwise, they would sleep wherever...

For all the knuckleheads who think we don't need unions anymore, get a serious grip.
undecided 4/17/2014 4:31:19 PM Report

Boy Grump You better be carefull , that Bounder fella seems like he has an unhealthy obsession with you
undecided 4/17/2014 4:33:10 PM Report

BB ya but we have the Gov to look after things like health and safety, working rules etc LOL
BIG BROTHER 4/17/2014 4:37:25 PM Report

That's right undecided. They will oversee all these programs, except the funding for oversight has been cut. How shocking is that. They must have overlooked the possibility that some companies would break the rules. Companies wouldn't do that...would they??

These are the things that Harper and Co. have been doing and the only press pointing any of this crap out is CBC. And guess what just happened to them.

Coincidence!!
undecided 4/17/2014 4:37:48 PM Report

It's too bad them people who fought for safe working conditions , a fair wage at the turn of the century had to die needlessly ,when all they had to do was wait and let the Gov look after their concerns ( sarcasm of course)

Bounder, the one who knows everything is flyhawk, and that's why we keep him in the dark.

Grump is in charge of those wondering why they are shoveled like sheep dropping.

There also snipers, but I can't reveal any information there.

Bobby...thanks but I choose not to engage the kids.
When the grown ups get back I'll join in.
bounder 4/17/2014 6:17:49 PM Report

Fly definition of grown up or an adult, fully grown an developed. Makes no mention of smarts. If I was five and posting this crap you'd say wow, if I was 100 and posting the same crap you still would say wow. So where in-between is a go no go.
Mr. Poster 4/17/2014 6:20:36 PM Report

Same nonsense...different day.
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 6:30:26 PM Report

You see bounder, we even have him trained to give disconcerting answers.
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 6:40:05 PM Report

Grump... I'd call the local store, $ 56 a gallon.
Couldn't get anything in Soo MI, then move to Petoskey.
A 5 gallon pail, fast drying, 350 VOC, gloss, $ 97 + 6% tax, I order 5 pails, and I can do 8 to 9 apartments, commercial is only 2 coats, then with around 45 dollars I have a complete unit redone, cause I prime the first coat with some snake oil.

Beat that if you can. Oil based.

There is a draw back, I have to go and pick it up.
bounder 4/17/2014 6:42:38 PM Report

Yup and far to serious for me, live, laugh, and enjoy life. Bet all these bozos watch comedy networks, makes it an oxymoron doesn't.

Go pick it up,spend the night, casino, supper and dancing.
Bobby Nerves 4/17/2014 7:09:43 PM Report

Big Brother, after reading some of the comments on here I have to agree with you.
Slavery isn't dead yet.
We're geering up for another version.
Minimum wage earners are taking up the slack.
Where would all the big businesses be without them???
The "Front Line Workers" are treated as
slave labour just as 100 years ago.
Wake up all you "Big Bussiness Buffunes".
You wouldn't get anywhere without the frontline workers.
Use them "right" and they will repay you for your loyalty.
Resident 4/17/2014 10:31:11 PM Report

Industry and big business are making more and more obscene profits and allowed more and more to pollute/destroy. The rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. More severe weather. Scary. Stuff of nightmares and horror movies! Unfortunately, too true!!
DutchTouch 4/17/2014 11:14:32 PM Report

So true Resident.
We are reaping what we sow.
Nothing further.
