I love to have maple syrup a couple times during the year, plus it is great for cooking. When I was a kid we had our own sugar shack back in our maple bush. You can find open fired syrup on the Island and it is much better as it tastes smokey. Delicious!

David Poluck, I noticed you refuse to wake up after the latest and deepest fall of the Leafs.
Aiming to lifting your spirit, let's chew down this story:
It's career day in elementry school where each student talks about what their dad does.
Little Johnny is last, and finally the teacher calls on him to talk about his dad.
Johnny comes to the front of the class. 'My daddy is a dancer at a gay bar. He takes off his clothes for other men, and if they pay him enough money, he goes into the alley and performs sex acts on them.'
The teacher is shocked, and she calls for an early recess for the rest of the class. She sits down with Johnny and asks him if this is really true about his dad.
'No, but I was too embarrassed to say he played for the Toronto Maple Leafs.'

I will vote liberal as I always have and always will....not because of any particular leader...to be honest....(Justin strikes me as a bit of a "douchebag") but because the cons as of late have been just too unpalatable.
Harper is an idiot savant. He is very smart....very smart.... but delusional and insane.
Wisenheimer at al thinks he is great and that is the main reason I will vote for anybody but!
I've followed wisen's posts with interest and to be honest...I would not want to be part of a world with his outlook.
A world based on profit, hedge funds and derivatives, without any regard to the well being of society at large and mostly concerned with price fluctuations of rotissery chicken at the Walmart across the river, yet insistence of attending the Veterans parade at home in order to prove true patriotism.
The Liberals are in the middle. The middle might not be good but far better than the extreme right or left.
I have lost all illusions for politicians no matter what prism they shine their rays from.... they are all a bunch of lying bags of shit!
I am considering buying a log cabin around Searchmont and area ...living off the land...heating with wood and shooting anything that moves for sustenance and leave politics and society at large behind me.
Politicians get into office by lying...they continue lying to stay in power, but we,,,the people are to blame for that. We enjoy being lied to! We reward lies. It's called self delusion and it is a human trait.
It is evident in politics, religion and sports.

I'm not that critical of the system, as I know and experienced, aside from Monarchy, all the other ones.
What I see as unfair is that at the end of the day, the voters are left with no choice, but rather directed to vote, -per say now- Liberals or stick with what we have, like in the USA.
It's obvious that the Political Elite is in charge of shuffling the cards and as in any other trick no matter which card you choose, you always get the empty pot.
The vicious spiral gets aggravated, in my view, when the system start to show cracks of corruption, and that's independent of any party, but more severe in some cases and in particular the cons have a champagne taste to pick how to screw the voters.
Let's say, that for whatever reason the Liberals are no longer in the race and we are left to choose from Conservatives or NDP, are you gonna vote for the chances of having a bartender as part of the bureaucracy? Not because there is something wrong with a bartender, but is like if you expect me to run a ministerial position. I think we had enough of Bernier and many others within the conservative stardom.
In that sense, at least the Trudeau Team is capable of telling the wannabe stars that no matter what, they do not qualify for the position as yet. And that's a good sing of authority.

I was thinking Grump should try "a big cup of shut the hell up" before heading out in the morning.

Boobs, you should join Grump and THE PROTECTOR in the big truck and come right down here and kick my ass.
Hopefully you have no mobility issues.
P.S. I think I'm going to get an earful first thing tomorrow. The "morons" and "swamp thingies" will be flying fast and furious. Can't wait!
Night all ...

They're using Microsoft-IIS/7.5, it'll take me two strokes to get in there and make a disaster.
But I promised never again.
Maybe one more time.

I'm following the MH370 tragedy and in the beginning, two days into the search, a retired B7 pilot posted a message: Under the hypothesis of a suicide mission, I'll fly the air craft to a remote location in the deepest ocean waters in the world and slowly squeeze it to the bottom of the sea where never could be find and make history.
This was long before the Inmarsat signals and the tracing of the possible fly pattern.
Today, the Ocean Shield and the Chinese team are confirming two pings within the range of the two black boxes frequency and amazingly, the aircraft is not deeper than 4000 meters, therefore, whatever is left could be recovered.
