Good morning everyone, more damn snow. Bounder you really have to be a Dipper. There is a huge difference between getting someone to fork over for a summer pastime than for a fund raiser. Now you pick a golf course and sell even 100 memberships this Spring and I will apologize for thinking you are a dumb, run of the mill, BSer. Have a great day all.

Who has poorer judgement - Trudeau or Harper?

We saw a hint of this on Monday when Conservative Party Officials questioned Justin Trudeau's after the Liberal leader dropped an f-bomb at a charity boxing match over the weekend.

Trudeau countered, questioning Stephen Harper's judgement over the sudden resignation of the prime minister's hand-picked Conservative Party executive director Dimitri Soudas. Soudas resigned on Sunday after allegations emerged of him interfering with a nomination battle in Oakville involving his fiance MP Eve Adams.

"It's yet another example of this government in general, but Mr. Harper in particular, showing poor judgement in his appointments process. Whether its for senators or executive directors or chiefs of staffs," Trudeau told reporters on Monday.

"This is just part of a pattern of a government that has shown itself incapable of putting the right people in the right place."
theprotector 4/2/2014 7:32:07 AM Report

Id rather have someone who is not afraid to drop the "f" bomb every now and then, something that most do anyway. When you compare that to the continued poor judgement in the decesion making process shown by harper and his attempts to create and force through law that will favour him and his conservatives while knowingly harm the majority of Canadians. Give me the f bomb MOFU!!
Bobby Nerves 4/2/2014 7:38:52 AM Report

Good morning all.

Mallet, please run, jump, dance, climb a tree, but stop the snow.

Pay no mind to Ricky Ricardo.
You are correct that his posts make little to no sense and that has nothing to do with the fragmented language, they simply make no sense.
The threats are another matter, sounds a lot like small man syndrome to me but you can deal with those as you see fit.
bounder 4/2/2014 8:25:52 AM Report

godosports 4/2/2014 8:28:26 AM Report

Difference being that Harper gets rid of them after they make a mistake while the Liberals will just try and cover it up. Destroy computer files etc.
theprotector 4/2/2014 8:32:08 AM Report

no no no harper only gets rid of them if they get caught - big difference
irishfey 4/2/2014 8:40:40 AM Report

Morning all.. I was looking for the April showers, but i guess that was yesterday. Was a tad nasty in here last night and for my part, i"m sorry. I think we should go back to the golden rule of " speak when spoken to ". There is no need for insults of ones grammar or choice of words. If the post is not meant for you and you don"t understand some of what"s being said, then just pass on by.If You jump on someone that is minding their own business ( like B.N.), then be prepared for the fallout. I"m sure there was no death threats on here,, just a missunderstanding of words. The reason that i use so many, lol and :) ( that seem to bother some) is that when i first came on here i was told that when we talk in type our "expression" of the words is lost and some might take offence as to what is said without knowing of how the words were meant to be taken. I guess i do go overboard with them, but i always just wanted to make sure that folks knew when i was joking. I will try and do better so as not to offend anyone..LOL.jk. I do ask for prayers today as i take my little pal to the Vet.... He"s 16 and the outcome might not be good. It might boil down to spending " big" $$$ and that might not even help at his age, so i have might have to make one very hard and heartbreaking decision... God help me, i"m not that strong!!.... Anyway... Hope you all have a great day,, and try and be nice, ok?.....
godosports 4/2/2014 8:46:14 AM Report

The Liberals don't get rid of them even after caught.

irishfey: Good luck at the vets. Research has shown that people grieve for their pets with similar intensity to other loved ones (human). There are stages of grief and help (if you need it) to get through but it will take time. It is nice to see many posters who usually think very differently can all feel empathy for you (including myself). I'm thinking of you.
Bobby Nerves 4/2/2014 12:02:47 PM Report

Well, then I'll keep the change and enjoy the sunshine.

Go easy shoveling the snow, you may get your blower chute clogged when it picks up your countryman. The last time we hear from him, he was laying flat on the sidewalk.

That happens just after he was caught bent over in bed.

redranger 4/2/2014 12:16:11 PM Report

This may be of interest to Mallet and others who are customers of Algoma Power and perhaps sometimes wonder about their electricity bill.
I have a camp on Goulais Bay and am connected to Algoma Power. I shut the camp down in October and unplugged everything.
Since then I have received 6 bills for the months of October to March. None of the bills have been the same. They range from $39 to $70 yet there is absolutely no power being used. Nobody has even been to the camp since October. How can the 6 bills be different.
I know I have to ask Algoma Power about this but I thought I should pass this bit of info on to all users.
steelworker 4/2/2014 12:20:35 PM Report

You are paying "delivery charges". This is also known as gouging or paying for "green energy".
Mr. Poster 4/2/2014 12:44:26 PM Report

So some months are more difficult to deliver power? Gouging at its worst and we have no recourse.
mallet 4/2/2014 12:46:40 PM Report

I am not sure how they (AP) comes up with the numbers anymore, Since we had to have the "Smart Meters" I have never seen a meter reader, so I cannot check to see if they are correct on that day or not. Of course the TOD usage varies as well and I have no idea how to keep track of that. I hate to bring politics into this but that is another reason i cannot and will not vote for Ms Wynne and her cronies, with the old meters I could see how fast that little wheel was spinning and take action to reduce my consumption. Those dilivery charges are what brings my bill up every time, generally more than the amount of power I use, and I think over the years I have paid for that piece of wire many times over...
Christina216 4/2/2014 12:59:16 PM Report

Ever since the smart meters were installed i've had nothing but problems with P.U.C. All I can say is P.U.C. sucks and the people that work in the office are rude a$$holes!

Federal Liberals can't agree on definition of middle class

OTTAWA — Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau admitted Tuesday he's not middle-class, but declined again to define it in terms of an income range.

"No, I'm not," Trudeau said. "I've always been very lucky."

Trudeau acknowledged the "very significant legacy" he inherited from his father pays healthy dividends, but he insisted his priority is still to make life better for the middle class — a group he defines in general terms.

Grump---I think it was great that you were able to attend the fundraiser for Premier Wynne. It was an opportunity to meet other people, who like yourself, are trying to form an opinion on who's best to lead our fine province.
As has been stated in the past--what you get in the media is not always the way it is.
A friend of mine once paid $250.00 to see Elton John---with no meal.Said it wasn't worth it.

Bounder you made a statement about selling 600 golf memberships at 1200. per. Now are you going to do something about it or is this more B.S. like mopar? Either produce or be known as a big from now on. You are just one of the clowns that love to shoot your mouth off on here but obviously it's just the same kind of crap that Steely posts.
Grump 4/2/2014 5:13:45 PM Report

Wild Turkey you are right, if you don't go and see for yourself you end up babbling along like some of the uninformed, biased twits on here. Or as someone near and dear to me said "they don't know if it's bored, punched or just clawed out by a wildcat". Dumb and ignorant is a hell of a way to go through life but these lads love to wallow in it. Take care.

Bobby Nerves 4/2/2014 8:01:18 PM Report

Wisen, what's the difference, politicians from the whole spectrum get us in bed one time or another.

Now, aside from your jokes to Grump, that he's learned to ignore, what serious comment can you bring to the discussion.

I'd read from you, I believe but may be wrong, that Harper most likely will not lead the Party to a new election or to an election where the reform conservatives can only govern from the minority and through negotiations with either the NDP or the Liberals. If I am correct, what's your idea of a leader that can bring the party to an stable majority.

If you can take that, IMO, Harper will not succeed in any future election, who do you think can bring a solid economy and the, till now, elusive job creation?
steelworker 4/2/2014 8:10:35 PM Report

Who do you think is going to lead this NDP/Lib coalition? Angry Tom or Justin the Foulmouthed One? If politics makes strange bedfellows I would hate to see the product of this union (cue Rosemary's Baby). One side wants to spend us to death and the other one just wants to tax us to death-pick your poison.
Bobby Nerves 4/2/2014 8:21:05 PM Report

Will never be an open approach to government between Liberals and NDP.

They are different animals. I can foresee the hostile quebeckers closing range with the NDP, but Liberals are far apart in many aspects.

Do you think anyone would beleive JT if he said he could relate to the middle class since he's been there - NO - its called honesty you should try it some time! Duh...get the point dweeb?
