Morning Folks

A fairly bright morning, a little cloud about thro, and still on the cool side for this time of year..

Looking through the flower and seed catalogues we want a couple of roses that will stand up to the northern climes, had some from the east coast but they do not seem to do well up here, even when you follow the suggestions for over wintering...

You all have a good week..

Mallet

Dig a hole all around your `re rose brush and lay it down, fill with leaves or other light coverings.
Try not to disturb the roots.

That`s what I use to do.

Celeste..

I have over the years bought from crappy tire walmart home depot and a local nursery and I think the only ones that have thrived are the Regosas and one tea rose that I paid very little for. Some that were expensive lasted two winters but that was all. Out here I do not have a very deep soil and to dig the holes is like mining, the rock isn't far below the surface...But there is a place in Manitoba that has some hardy specimens which I think I will try...
