irish...

I do mine by taste...lol. So no recipe.

Are you using Rice vinegar ? It's a milder taste than the regular stuff.

Good morning everyone.

Another old day, wind chill - 27, LOL.

Irishfey

I always add lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic to mine,
Stir until it thickens.

irishfey, using a jar to keep the extra in, mix 1/3 c vinegar and 2/3 cup olive oil - add seasonings of choice, I use Garlic Plus OR Vegeta (not both of them together), they are both different tasting.

I did measure once, back in May 2005, LOL, When I found out I was Diabetic,
And started using only oil & vinegar.

The wind chill is now - 21, going to get some fresh air now.

It`s almost nap time, my daughter inlaw use to bring my grandson over to my house for his afternoon nap sometime, because he wouldn`t nap for her.
He wasn`t talking clear yet, anyway he would say to her, tap tent, nap tent, when he was tired, she asked what`s he saying, so I told her I put a blanket over his playpen and told him it was his tent and he fell right to sleep, LOL.
So she did the same at home.

Afternoon folks.

I have a slight uphill driveway to the road, another reason I like a woodstove, the ashes make a fine antislip coating to the snow/ice that forms as the weather turns less cold.

Personally I find it a tad expensive to make my own dressing, by the time you have bought the ingredients, which if you dont use a lot goes to waste, the shop bought makes more sense, besides I like 1000 island myself and the wife likes the English salad dressing, also good for a sandwich spread..

It is sunny and in the sun quite warm but the wind has a knife edge on it, and you really need shades today, snowblindness can be a nasty thing to deal with...

You all have a great weekend...

I so envy you, mallet. Loved my place out on the lake but I was thinking with the wrong head at the time and no longer have it.. Mind you , with my health problems probably wouldn't be able to be out there now anyway.. Things have a way of working out, I guess,,:)

Just Curious...

Life is what you make of it. I had a neighbour, his wife took ill and they moved into an apartment in town, hated every minute of it, but the doctors told him his wife had to be only a few minutes from the hospital. About a year and a half later she was declared to be in reasonable health and they decided to move back to their cottage, the tuesday before the saturday they had arranged to move back he had a stroke and passed away. I am diabetic, have 4 stents in arteries, I clear snow, chainsaw wood, split and stack it, garden and do things for other neighbours, if it kills me, at least I will die happy, knowing I am where I want to be. Sitting in an apartment is not for me, I have seen enough of cities to last two lifetimes, I know it is not for everyone, but I've got elbow room..
