Good Morning folks.. I couldn"t sleep so i thought i"d take a wee look at jest what"s been going on here... well, well, well. I noticed a post to Steelworker from the infamous Bobby Nerves... 2/12/2014.. ".. STILL THE INSULT TALKS MORE ABOUT YOU".. Well if that ain"t " the pot calling the kettle black!" Remember the filth that you said to me in the Red Room??.. and also your other post to Steelworker..2/12/2014... No, you don"t talk smut here to the Men, you are too much of a coward to do that! You are the type that prefers to talk like that to the elderly Ladies in the other room where you think you can get away with it. Your true colours have just been exposed! Your name here suits you well.. Bobby NERVES, as you sure do have a lot of nerve to pretend on here that your something that your not, and that is a Man!.. Have a great day folks, i know i will... Just one more thing if i may.. I have spent a great deal of me life working with the public and from doing that you get to be able to read some folks as to what they really are. Most Men that use foul language in front of others are the ones that havn"t really grown up yet and it makes them feel like a Man to talk like that, and even then, other MEN do not think highly of them. Others that talk to women in such a manner are usually lacking something in the Male Anatomy and it"s usually something that"s missing under the belt area.. get me drift??. i believe that you fall into the latter part. I wasn"t going to come back on here and this may be my last post, but sometimes the opportunity just presents itself that you have to speak up,, thank you for that...

Good Morning everyone---W.O.W.--And Grumpster---to think someone took down YOUR first post of the day.Yesterday,
How many times is that, that THE FOOL has said SHE's leaving?
Grump 2/13/2014 6:03:01 AM Report

Good morning everyone. Irish time to take a valium and get some rest today. Since Bobby's English is his third, fourth or maybe fifth language he has a bit of trouble with it at times. Cut him some slack.. Hunter 101 you finally spit out that you believe the Liberals have taken away some of you rights and freedoms. Would you please list them so I will know you have facts to support your statement and not just more methane gas. Wild Turkey the post I had pulled yesterday was not in anyway aimed at you. I don't understand the comment or who the HER is you mentioned. Please explain. Have a great day all.
Grump 2/13/2014 6:08:43 AM Report

Wild Turkey ,by the way the name is Grump, not Grumpster unless you have joined the posse? I would find it hard to believe anyone would willingly be associated with them but life is strange at times.

Wild Turkey 2/13/2014 6:27:05 AM Report

@Grump---Sorry you saw my post as being directed at you.I meant no disrespect. You are the heart and soul of the blue room, and without you it wouldn't be what it is.
I meant to come on yesterday and question why your first post was taken down, when as the day unfolded, the comments were becoming more and more silly. Some guys can get away with sniping---I find it somewhat humorous when the two sides start trading barbs, but lately, some of the conversations are borderline lunacy, and that's not healthy.
Grump 2/13/2014 6:28:08 AM Report

Dust2 I was speaking to Status yesterday and we were happy to think that you had found a job finally. My wife took her car to the Dealers, day before yesterday for a checkup. Their courtesy car picked her up and when she got back to the dealership the young man proudly told her that they had rotated her tires. She thanked him and came home. My truck was busy hauling a trailer moving material all day yesterday so I was using the car to get around to the various jobs. I came out of a store and the car was sitting sideways in front of me and I realized that they had taken the snow tires off the front end (front wheel drive) and rotated them to the rear. Congratulations on your new job ,if you still have it?
Wild Turkey 2/13/2014 6:31:44 AM Report

@Grump---The her in question refers to the first post of to-day.
Grump 2/13/2014 6:38:28 AM Report

Wild Turkey ,we haven't met as yet but I certainly thought you seemed to be one of the good guys. I believe that a little bit of back and forth and a few laughs is a good thing as long as it's done with some respect. There has always been the odd one (myself included) who gets over the line but the garbage posts of late are getting as mean as cat s*** and plain rude and crude and meant for folks with IQs in the low two digits. Maybe if everyone ignores them they will go away or smarten up. I'm starting to dream in Technicolour. lol. Take care and have a great day.

DP -- any ratepayers association are nothing more that a small group of people who dont have the balls to step up into the public light and would rather just critize anything that comes forward that doesnt fit in your little niave world.
You numbers are wrong, plain and simple! Associations like yours mean nothing and do nothing.
Tell me oh infomred one in 2013 how many provincal jobs were moved out of Sault Ste. Marie? How many federal jobs were moved out of Sault Ste. Marie? These are not jobs being cut but moved to other communities at the expense of tax payers, which is a continued expence because some of these jobs are moving to markets where it costs us 300% more in infrastruture costs and new buildings. Look at the federal building downtown, its 75% empty now which happend in the past year.
So really DP, you are clearly out of the loop - continue your overwhelming false sense of importance and you fasade of an association.

dust2 2/13/2014 7:51:06 AM Report

@theprotector, you sound butthurt because the jobs are moving from the soo. if they were coming here you wouldn't say a word. bitter

@bobbynerves, they're communications companies. they make a ton. it's called profit. where's that money coming from? customers.
theprotector 2/13/2014 7:59:39 AM Report

duh - hey good call there dust why would I complain about any jobs coming to the sault? These jobs are good paying jobs, provide support for local businesses, helps local taxes for roads, schools and other programs within the community! We should do everything we can to keep jobs here in the sault should we not? I know of 15 people here in the Sault personally who were within a couple of years of retiring, worked 30 years, since coming out of school, and got burned on their pension because they didnt want to move to Toronto for the last 2 years of their working career! Now my kids and many other kids need to leave the Sault in record numbers or like you sit in mom's basement and only dream about finding a job or go to school.
dust2 2/13/2014 8:00:18 AM Report

LOL keep hating bro
dust2 2/13/2014 8:03:34 AM Report

they're fools for not moving for two short years to get their full pension. that's not a problem with the system that's a problem with those individuals. come on, they worked 30 years for one and threw it away because of a two year relocation?

that's not a sob story
Bobby Nerves 2/13/2014 8:07:42 AM Report

Mr. Poster, no matter what the outcome of the by elections is, tomorrow the Libs will be in charge with a minority government.

That's not the case for Mr. Hoodak, he's the one that will loose in this case as they didn't show well in Niagara Falls and Thornhill.
David Poluck 2/13/2014 8:12:41 AM Report

Gee pro…don’t hold back…

I’m sorry I’ve been at this for a while and what you describe simply does not exist.
I don’t seem to remember criticizing anybody or anything seeing that the idea behind what organizers are doing is to look at how things currently are and see if there are ways to improve. Action is taken to do so. If that is naïve so be it! As for stepping up…not everyone craves the limelight. Many volunteers do it because it is important to them to do so.
Here is a thought. Post with your real name. Practice what you preach! Or do you not have as you so eloquently put it “the balls”
I guess you must know from experience that doing nothing yields nothing and if that’s what floats your boat you just keep on with doing your nothing while I and others continue on with our something’s!

My numbers are wrong? I take it you have been much to busy with character assassinations to bother to look up the stats. Just shows your character.
Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to keep on and continue my overwhelming false sense of importance and the facade of an association.

really? tell me how you can afford maitaining two house holds and travel back and forth or sell your house and relocate everything you own? To a housing market that is so far out of reach on a government salary? When in fact the work, via existing technology can be done from this city and for that matter anywhere in northern ontario? You dont see any issues with your train of thought?
theprotector 2/13/2014 8:19:32 AM Report

You have not charactor to attack so you are safe there. Couldnt give a ratsass about spelling again really? No arguement so you attack spelling, and yesterday it was the phrase government worker, thats what you bring to the table? Why dont you contact each department and ask about the people that received "affected" notifications and work force adjustment notifications. I know these terms are new to you, but if you knew anything about the jobs here in the sault rather than trying to promote and lobby with your little org. then you would know these terms. Sorry you are a waste of time as is your little rate payers all about me special interest group. (wow he's even dumber than right wing!)

This whole fishing ,hunting, driving, signage mess began during the Bob Rae NDP government days (early 80s). If it moved they taxed it, if it didn't move they taxed it anyway. The Liberals brought in gun control after the massacre of those woman at Poly Technique. Harper in spite of his law and order stance and the objections of Canadian Police chiefs did away with part of it but kept most of the rules. It truly reminded me of the English only resolution in S.S.M., something that was not right, not necessary but was shoved through to satisfy the red neck vote. All these governments were involved in this mess. The NDP were going broke and tinkered with all the rules and regulations. The liberals had a big push from French and women's votes to do something and likely saw votes attached. The Harper Gov't. killed the Registry supposedly to save money which hasn't happened but mainly to draw voters that would not normally vote Conservative. Most of the rules are still there, the cost is still there but now Law Enforcement don't have the Registry. An old First Nations friend of mine said it best. "The white man hasn't done anything yet that he hasn't screwed up". That said our governments are full of major league screw-ups. The ones that screw up trying to do the right thing are one thing. The ones who screw up running only their own agenda are something completely different.

Grump..
I have to disagree with you on the gun registry.
The gun registry was supposed to cost only a couple of million dollars, however ballooned to well over a billion. The old system of registering resticted and handguns was done by the local RCMP and you had to go personally. Rifles and shotguns were not required to be registered only restricted one. The Liberals in their normal kneejerk reaction decided on the total registring of all guns. I agree with registring restricted guns/weapons which includes all handguns, and the use of them in crime should be an automatic 20 year sentence, no deals by lawyers or judges. Now when renewing I get a form,a photo and the wife to sign and no one knows if that is correct as long as it corresponds with the computer on the north shore of the st laurence. I know you will get T'eed off but I can remember many years ago when PET returning from a trip to the pacific game off the plane with his kids, one of whom was waving a "prohibited" weapon, and when informed, promptly had an "order in council" to make it legal for the boy to own!! so much for Liberal law and order, eh!!

Guess what .. the only condition that hasn't been agreed to, is Obama's and Al Gore's plan that Canada should leave it's greatest resource in the ground.
It just gets worse.

You guys are a laugh. Trudeau's got the right wing running scared. Every time he speaks we get the right wing interpretation of just what they think he said. He isn't even the official opposition and they (cons) are running, screaming the sky is falling. One day the claim is he doesn't speak...next day it's the twisted interpretation of what he said.

That's just how pathetic your Harper is. You obviously have no faith in his leadership policies. If you did you would have more faith and less bitterness....jump on the opposition and twist every word.
Hunter101 2/13/2014 7:17:29 PM Report

Grump, the registry was a knee-jerk response to l'ecole Polytechnique.

It did nothing to keep anyone safe. We've have a handgun registry since 1934 and that does nothing to deter or solve crimes. Ask any firearm owners if their stolen pistols ever were returned or if the registry helped track them down. Believe you me, you can have your firearms triple locked and thieves will still steal them. Nothing is secure, it will just make things harder for the thief.

The Chief's of Police Association is a lobby group which has no real Police involvement. I've asked several officers of their view on the registry now that it's gone and they said it was the most inaccurate pile of garbage ever set up. They basically told me that any officer worth his salt assumes every person is armed and said if the officer doesn't have his hand on his sidearm when he conducts a traffic stop he's risking his life.

Hunter101 2/13/2014 7:18:09 PM Report

If you think that all this deal depends on Obama or Harper, you are wrong.

Many governments in the Middle East have people advocating against the pipeline as it is one of the projects that can break the balance of the OPEC and it's members have no decor for a fight, those people have less heart than a whore.

But in the end, no matter what Harper, Obama, Trudeau and my neighbor's daughter think and do, the pipeline will go ahead when all the little tiny wheels are properly greased.

Well, he was canned by CBS and disappeared into oblivion due to the then fledgling PC fascists.

Today, on CBC Radio, I hear the exact same thing discussed with an author that just published a book about athletic performances based on race, genetics , bone structure and ethnic background. For sure he was more "polished" in explaining his thesis than Jimmy the Greek, and hence, totally acceptable and not a reason of accusing him of racism.

A good way to poach eggs.

Wait until late August or anytime in Sept. just as the speckled trout are getting ready to spawn. Now go to one of your favorite streams and try to catch one.If you see a "NO FISHING" sign anywhere along that stream just ignore it.(or even better steal it as a souvenir). Now, catch a female speckled trout, clean it out and there you go,you have poached eggs! And here is the best part.Take some of them eggs and tie them into spawn sacs to use for bait. The specks will love it and you can multiply your supply of poached eggs exponentially.

Actually,I believe there is a grey area as to the legality of private landowners posting no fishing signs and trying to enforce them on streams.Something to do with wading and high water marks. In any case I have always found that practice disgusting, especially if it is only kids fishing.

If there are any of the old Garson family reading this I would like to take this opportunity to offer a sincere thank you so much for letting us kids fish on your property with never a hassle. This was back in the sixties and seventies.I just want you to know how much those times meant and still mean to this day to me and a few of my friends. We shall be forever grateful.
