Morning all,
get your shovels out, yup you guessed it more snow and blowing once again.
What happened to Global warming, is that not happening or has that been cancelled also.

Good morning all.

Yes, it's cold, but the sky looks great from my window.

I believe more in weather manipulation and if you pretend to ignore it, search in regards what happen in China when they played with the weather and the next winter got one meter of snow blocking highways.

Well, here is the table with coffee, be a kind person a keep a warm spirit.

Good morning everyone.

Hey guys, Old Man Winter is on his way out, temperatures are on the rise.
I can`t wait, I haven`t been walking in a long time, it`s too cold, I just don`t want to deal with the body cramps.

Morning Folks...

Guys, look at the bright side, you can go out and take nice Chrissmasy photos to put on next years Christmas cards, one has to look on the up side of things rather than the down side, besides I got Grump to admit defeat.. LOL. That was the crowning event of my day...

Quite bright, but rather windy out here today although there is a little bit of mist/frost fog (Red Rangers FROG) at the moment...

I gues the other job I have today is moving that white s%^t again, becoming a little tiresome... Harper pay the Godamn heating bill for Mother Nature!!!

You all take care out there, Eh..

Mallet minus 20 here, 3 hrs digging out this AM and now just for fun off to my neighbour to clean his driveway.
Waterfront disadvantage in winter. What we need is a mild spell to melt the surface snow a little bit and then refreeze, stops the drifting.
Bundle up.

Back when, folks used horses and sleighs and drove over the snow. Today we spend untold amounts of money and time to move the snow so we can drive our cars around. That is,assuming we can get them started. On the other hand, old Dobbin always started.

This is progress?

Very true, however there was one disadvantage... you could step in the you just smell it...shit!! nothings really changed has it???
Pink Peony 1/28/2014 2:01:06 PM Report

I took pictures of my driveway the other day. There was at least a foot of snow and about a foot and a half of snow in many areas because of the drifting. I like the "WOW" responses I get from relatives who have very little to no snow where they live, when I send them the pics. I am truly grateful to my neighbour across the street because he saw me digging out and he came over with his snow blower and finished the drive for me. I think I would have been out there for at least 3 hours if I had to scoop it.

Bounder and Pink P...

Yes getting to be a nearly full time job thuis year, funny though, you do not see too many kids ganging up and going round the neighhoods these days, asking if they can shovel driveways.. When we first came to the Soo, where we lived there were lots of kids who would do a diveway for 5 or 10 bucks, don't think I have seen a kid out with a snowshovel lately.. I and my neighbour have 250/300 ft driveways and parking areas plus the top when the plow comes along, to do a decent job takes me about 3/4 to an hour each one and I measure the severity of the winter by number of gas cans used, and this is the worst in the last twenty years. I have used 18 gallons of gas counting this one.. In 1977 we had 18 inches of snow in April 17th or thereabouts and then in 1998 a March storm dumped about 30 inches out here, so unless we get a real warm spring (which we don't want..flooding) we are in for some record breaking stories.
bounder 1/28/2014 4:27:52 PM Report

I measure another way by the number of breakdowns ,no break down good year,5 is a regular and more than that I want to head to where it's warmer.
More white stuff on Thursday, the sun today reminds me of an old Johnny Cash song ,Folsom Prison, ( I ain't seen the Sunshine since I don't know when) but heck we still live.

Mallet,, how"s the old girl doing today.. the dog! ,lol... Hope you seen my post last night and it helped you.... later
Pink Peony 1/28/2014 7:46:12 PM Report

Mallet, I know what you mean about many kids these days. My son was 4 or 5 when I bought him his first snow scoop. I still have it. I'd like to give it to somebody who has a young child if there are any takers out there.
