Irishfey, sorry to read of your psoriasis. I hope you are feeling better.
Spellchecker 1/16/2014 6:19:29 AM Report

In regard to the blood test meters, I have an AccuCheck Aviva that I really like. I suppose next time I go for strips they'll stick me with another kind.

Morning Friends.. Is quite nasty out there today and after i make a post in the Blue Room, i suspect it will get nasty in there also ,lol.. Oh well, can"t please everyone ha ha... Mallet... Thanks for reminding me that i"m old ,lol,, but when i first started on here i somehow thought i was dealing with young folk and as it turns out i think that there are some that are older than meself, I just left it at that. I do admire your wit and humour and laughter is really the best medicine, so i thank you, i feel so much better just being able to talk to you all again..... Celeste...Is this your real name? I only ask as i do love reading books about the Amish folk and the name .. Celeste.. appears in a lot of them.. by chance , do you have a little Amish in you?.. Reading is my favourate [ yes, i spelt that wrong ,lol ] pastime , but i do find it a challange right now with my fingers the way they are and its hard to turn the pages even if i have my gloves on, but i do persist as i love it so much.... You all have a great day and stop by the Blue room to see what i will post, it is very interesting, but i"m sure i will get some " other" points of view on it ,lol.... Later Friends...Spellchecker,, make sure you see this, but it"s spmething that you most already know....
Wicket 1/16/2014 11:17:43 AM Report

Celeste and Irishfey, love reading the comments made by both you. You have great sense(s) of humour. Hope you will grace us with your presence at another gathering of the group so we can meet you both. We are an interesting, diverse group that when we are together express ourselves on a multitude of subjects (except politics and religion) and have great life experiences that we share and comment upon.
Coping with illness that can crop up at any time is difficult and most often gets worse as we get older. Always think about "our" posters who disappear for a bit or talk about their ailments; sometimes we just need to vent. Know that you are not alone and that there are many prayers and positive thoughts coming your way from this gang of rogues. There are a few posters but many, many lurkers who rarely say anything, but are also good people who used to post.
mallet 1/16/2014 11:18:01 AM Report

Snowy Morning Folks.

What else can I say, everywhere is white again, very still, and you can hear the quiet...

Glad to see you are out of your man cave again Bobby, but I was under the immpression old bruins hibernated this time of the year!!

Celeste, you seem very adept at cooking, are you by chance an accountant!!

Spellchecker, regarding the BG meter, oh I do hope so, oh yeah payback, you know!!

Irish Fey.. Bugger, my old man invaded my dreams last night, and I still hear his voice this morning, the third ingrediant is Glycerin, you big pillock, Glycerin!!!
Wicket 1/16/2014 11:20:33 AM Report

Oh - Irishfey, you commented the other day about the coffee.... we used to start the day off with cyber coffee, then it expanded to breakfast, then other foods and drinks and even pool parties. We recognized birthdays with a wonderfully designed birthday cake and everyone partook. Sadly, none of those people post any longer, but we do see each other from time to time and some even show up at our get togethers.
I was happy to see Bobby Nerves start it up again....and just maybe, some of the old gang will start making comments again - 'cause you know, those are the lurkers. - miss you guys...
irishfey 1/16/2014 11:36:42 AM Report

Mallet ,lol.. yes, it was Glycerin, i remembered it last night and forgot to mention it this morning, so i guess i"m old at that ,lol, i was thinking about the cod liver oil pills too as i used to take them when i was " young " ,lol.. I"m still going to try the dark beer also and if it don"t work it sure won"t go to waste here with me Hubby ,lol.. Am getting my post ready for the " other" side,lol.... Prayers needed ,lol... later
irishfey 1/16/2014 12:35:59 PM Report

Wicket. Celeste and i and many others thank you for your kind words and thoughts. Is nice to know that there are folks that we don"t even know that care about each other. Oh what a world this would be if everyone had the same feelings....... I made my post in the Blue room ,lol, but am signing off for now and i don"t think i will even look at it today due to the remarks expected ,lol... I have stuff to do, or at least try,lol... so.. later my friends...
Bobby Nerves 1/16/2014 1:03:38 PM Report

soowat, it's a 3tac request and only 3tac can reveal the formula.

3tac, show up, we have conga line here...

mallet, this an abnormal year, my mother was fighting with 29.6 Celsius at 8.00 in the morning with a day that will see the thermometer near 38/40 Celsius, abnormal for a place where summers, January are top 32/34 and then decreasing.

I noticed here, this year most birds left very early and quietly, then I decided not to stay down the cave, just in case a flooding approaches. Remember that I'm standing on soil that once was river and rocky beaches... I have a suspicion one of this days will be a flooding around here, and I wanna bi ready for it.

You keep watching the water, OK. I wish I could have the privilege of affording a shed in that area... I'll be a happy camper.
irishfey 1/16/2014 1:08:22 PM Report

lol.. I lied, i took a peak in the Blue room. nosy old gal am i.... Spellchecker.. don"t let someones comment upset you.. remember, they hated Jesus first! The thing is , i always give folk the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their faith, it"s not up to me to judge, but after seeing THAT post,, well, i never really knew someone that was actually going to hell,, poor soul... You go have a nice day,, maby i shouldn"t have posted my piece, i just thought it might help some to realize the truth of the Bible.... Again,, this is just my opinion,, not trying to shove it on anyone,,, hope i didn"t upset anyone on here,, sorry if i did....We can all agree to disagree with respect to others, and im thankful for all of you for that... I blame my actions on my meds,, and thats my story and i"m sticken to it!!! ,lol...
Bobby Nerves 1/16/2014 1:17:47 PM Report

Wicket, do you have any news about Rockin'Robbie, I haven't read from him for a long time and I remember the last time was in between jobs.
celeste5 1/16/2014 1:21:19 PM Report

Good afternoon everyone.

I made a post earlier and it disappeared.

So, I had my lunch and I`m raring to go, LOL.

Celeste is not my real name, I read a poem that discribed a person as having a Celestial air about them and I liked that.
It use to be Celest5 but I changed it, the 5 was from an author from another poem, I should change it back.
I`am Irish and Ojibway, not Amish but I could live like one, LOL.

Not an accountant, I was a stay mom, than a bored housewife, LOL.
Actually my kitchen was like a resturant when my boys were young, they all were into sports.

One year they all decided to take karate because all their friends wanted to.
And of course they all went to three diffeent places and all diffent times, that was a pain,

Anyway I learned how to cook from my father and older sister,s.
I had to look up the meaning of pillock so just what are you saying, that word is suppose to be forgotten, LOL.
I know, I have my mind in the Gutter again, all in fun.
mallet 1/16/2014 1:50:14 PM Report

Celeste 5..

The reference to the accountant was that you are so good at cooking , that maybe you cooked books as well.. LOL..

As for pillock, I have the memory of an elephant, just it isn't as fast anymore, slows down with age.. and gives you some idea that I ain't no spring chicken (or old cock) anymore!! LMAO...
DutchTouch 1/16/2014 2:11:26 PM Report

Good day for a snowball fight so I hope everyone gets a soft hit.

Stay off the roads if you don't need to go out there.
Otherwise be careful and have a safe trip.
Wicket 1/16/2014 2:23:41 PM Report

Bobby Nerves - Rockin' Robbie is female not male and she is no longer on the radio. She and her husband are enjoying the good life in Soo, Mi - doing what they want, when they want. Nice of you to ask about her.
Wicket 1/16/2014 2:26:07 PM Report

Irishfey... don't get your knickers in a knot wondering what some of the fools in the "other room" (blue room) think or say. Interesting to read your biblical comments and how it applies to today. I do not enjoy bible thumpers but like the way you have worded your comments, with respect!
irishfey 1/16/2014 2:59:51 PM Report

Celeste... You sound like you come from good stock. I made up my name in such manner and i was told as a young lassie by my Aunt that i was an Irishfey, she said i had a special gift. As i grew and read more books i liked the Irish ones also and became more aware of the " Irishfey " and looked it up, and hence, here i am ,lol..... Wicket... It takes more than that to get me blood pumped, but i swear i have never seen or heard such vile comments, but alas, i should have known better ,lol... I take everyone for what and who they are and what they believe... free will... Hubby just came home and we are going to take a wee nap... later...
celeste5 1/16/2014 3:29:03 PM Report

I didn`t understand or catch on to the accountant joke, now Cooking the Bookie I understand.
Bobby Nerves 1/16/2014 3:30:30 PM Report

Huh, that's the results of no showing up to the gatherings.

Well, the best for them RR and her husband, doing what they can. ;)~~~~~~
mallet 1/16/2014 4:23:15 PM Report

Celeste 5..

Cooking the books, it's an old limey term for when a business shows a loss when in fact it is making a profit, for the tax man or it is showing a profit while making a loss for a buyer. Maybe Shakespeare or Spellchecker can explain better, but basically it is a term for dishonesty...
celeste5 1/16/2014 4:28:55 PM Report

Proof read, proof read, proof read, LOL, that`s what I have to do sometime.

celeste5 1/16/2014 4:34:12 PM Report

I understand what your`re saying.
irishfey 1/16/2014 5:27:48 PM Report

Well, so much for my wee nap,lol Celeste... all the time i was laying down i kept thinking of where you found your name.. [ Celestial Air ] it brought thoughts to my mind of "" whispering Angels " and that"s what i kept thinking about. it was very pleasant, thank you. That is how i will probably view you now. I also thought of what me Aunt had told me when she said i had the " gift.". She must have meant that i was good at " stirring the pot" ,lol as i did today.. I wish now that i never posted it as i think i got Spelly in trouble... I will try not to make that mistake again...... later...
celeste5 1/16/2014 6:34:52 PM Report

I tried to take a short nap but remembered I had a perscription delivery for after 6pm.

Your aunt picked a good name for you, Pot Stirrer,LOL.
No wonder I liked you off the bat, your`re peculiar like me and maybe a bit whimsical, you think?
You speak your mind and I like that, that`s the Irish in us.
irishfey 1/16/2014 7:11:22 PM Report

Celeste, ,You are a peach!.. Funny thing you said about us being a wee peculiar.. God describes His people as being " a Peculiar sort " ,lol,, bet you didn"t know that huh?,, yep, it"s right there in the Bible ,lol... I don"t think i"m going to post anymore about the Bible stuff though, it just pisses folk off and i really don"t want to do that [ hee hee ],, really. Supper time now, then a movie so i will say my goodnights now,, and of course my.. God bless. Oh btw... my hands are starting to clear up a wee bit and i"m feeling better... Sweet dreams of whispering Angels.......
