Gotta go get my health cars renewed, driver's lic. renewed and new tags for the car. A fun day of standing in lines. Speaking of line, went to Walmart yesterday. They had one check out open with a line-up of twelve. The guy ahead of me and I both ended up leaving our carts and leaving the store. Estimate that between his cart and mine there was about $300.00 worth of purchases left behind

Renew the licence and tags online with your computer. I am not sure about health card.

Never thought of on-line. Thanks

Red Ranger...

You need new photos for the health card and driving licence, the tags you can renew on line...
redranger 1/14/2014 9:32:29 AM Report

Then it is probably best to go to licence bureau and do all 3 at once

Good morning everyone,
RE: emission control while replacing your old sticker on vehicles, anyone know if you need something replaced on your vehicle, must it be done by a professional mechanic?
Can you do it yourself
Grump 1/14/2014 12:40:41 PM Report

Bounder you may repair your vehicle, wire or plumb your house etc. as long as it is checked by an Inspector or a Licensed Tradesman (M or F), but you can't legally do someone else's just your own.

Your comment about doing work yourself then getting it inspected reminds me of something that happened to me as a teenager. My dad was an electrician amd I used to go with him as a poorly paid "go-fer"
He got a call from an older gentleman to check out an electrical problem the fellow was having. When we got there it was obvious the old boy had been doing some D.I.Y. wiring. Dad asked him (already knowing the answer) if he had,had the work passed by an inspector?

The old fellows answered (and I swear this is true) "The inspector lives next door and he passes the work at least once a day." This was said in a completely serious manner and it was one of the few times I ever saw my dad speechless.

The old guy finally broke into a laugh followed by the laughter of my dad an me.
