Is it me or does it seem like any pedestrian in any mall parking lot seems to feel that he/she has no responsibility to look out for cars? The last thing I would ever want to do is hit a pedestrian, but geez folks pedestrians also have responsibilities

Good question, I would think that at designated crossing areas they would have, anywhere else fair game, but I wouldn't want to hit anyone. What I don't understand is they are challenging steel.
I stop for everyone no matter where they are.

Good morning Red Roomies

thanks for the great breakfast Bobby. I hope all is well with you.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Folks...

Thanks bobby, always appreciated..
What I do not understand about the car parks is why they have the road next to the store, when everyone has to cross the road, I know they need it for fire, police or ambulance, but that's all it should be for, wasted space, yes, but a lot safer. There are many lead footed people who use that as a slow race track.
My home town soccer team lost ... again... to a team in the top 5, but i guess they tried...really need a new manager...

Rather grey and wet again this Am, and should try to get the other neighbours path cleared out, but I am thinking it would be heavy going...

You all have a great day out there..

Mallet You are right about tough going cleaning up that snow. It was like soup going through my blower and kept wanting to plug up. I'll have to pick up some diesel to coat the chute with.
Bobby Nerves 1/12/2014 1:51:53 PM Report

Grump, Mallet; I know that beginning the winter season and at the tune up time I get a spray of polyurethane and spray inside the blower chute. It does the trick and nothing get stick to it and I own a 1960 Deer. I also have a newer Honda, but is resting in the basement.

Notice, I'm not right wing, because he'll google it and tell you to paint the chute with polyurethane.

Enjoy. Here, I had to manicure the entrance and the rest was done by the city.

Hi epc! Nice to read from you.

I'm doing great. Every day is a new blessing.

Next week I'll go for training on assisting other cancer patients with the Cancer Society. My way of pay back all the gifts I'd received.

Hope to see you this summer.

All the best to you and your family.

Grump, Bobby...

I use WD40. a couple of times a season on the chute and also the impellor, seems to work pretty well. I also give the chute swivel a generous dose a couple of times too, makes cranking it round that much easier. The other trick is to make sure I have cleaned all the snow off it before I shut it down for the day, nothing freezes up then...

Try Clairol Grey Treatment and Depends, mallet!
Sorry about the Canaries.
Grump 1/12/2014 4:25:44 PM Report

Mallet, Bobby, Many years ago I owned a pair of jeeps with 4 speed trannies, front mounted 7' blowers driven by a VG4D 36 H.p. Wisconsin engine. If I hadn't used diesel I would be even poorer than I am now. I guess it wouldn't make a huge difference on my little Honda but old cheap habits die hard ,lol

sorry for the double post
shakespeare 1/12/2014 6:35:55 PM Report

A modicum of respect please, mallet. I know damn well you know how to spell Leicester. The team is considered a frontrunner to make it to the Premier. A 4-1 victory over Derby doesn't do any harm!

When I read your english, I remember I had a boss who was british subject himself, he had a great sense of humor and I wouldn't say he spoke welsh, but he had a very strong nasal accent, typically found in the british people.
I enjoyed listening to him, because he used a lot idioms unknown to me and while listening, I was processing the information.
Once, I said to him with my best intention of making a compliment... I like and enjoy listening to you, I like your accent.
Mad is nothing, he turned furious, and said... I have not accent, you have and accent.
I never complimented anyone since.
shakespeare 1/12/2014 8:41:37 PM Report

Bobby: the man should have been flayed alive, drawn, quartered and had his gizzards fed to rabid rodents. I think that one needs to learn to accept a compliment.

I know that in the past (a couple of years ago)I was "snotty" about your English. Given my travels and my abject attempts to communicate in different languages and just human civility, I apologize.
