Good morning fellows and everyone. I suspect the boss will be dragging my sorry butt off to Church this evening. She keeps telling me "I need all the help I can get". She may be right as I have a good number of bad acting friends, many who I met on here. LMAO. Have a great day and a great Christmas Eve.

Good morning Grump and all.

Have a Merry Christmas, thinking that we have been blessed to be in a Country like Canada and on top in this little paradise. If you have any shadow of a doubt, watch through your window, outside is a gorgeous day and we all have a very good reason for celebration, if you don't believe in things that do not exist, first, think about Santa... he doesn't exist, right? but everybody believe in Him and then and why not, this is a good time to get together, forget, forgive and be forgiven. Have a Merry Christmas all.
BIG BROTHER 12/24/2013 8:17:30 AM Report

Thanks Bobby. Good words for us all to heed. It does take someone whom has lived elsewhere to help us appreciate what we have been taking for granted, right under our noses.

Feliz Navidad to you also.

Merry Christmas one and all

I work for a short time today and then I am off to the food court at Station Mall to sip a cup of tea and watch the last of the desperate shoppers running around looking for the "perfect" gift. It is also my annual brief or boxer study day.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday and stays safe. It is the time of giving .. but it is also when we receive. Remember.. etiquette dictates that we accept our gifts graciously...even those ugly sweaters and fruit cakes.

Have a good day.. relax..calm down.. smile..drive friendly

nanag Merry Christmas and you be watching out for those sticky buns. lol
old-cat33 12/24/2013 9:17:33 AM Report

Grump: LOL,,, I remember as a kid having to go to Midnight mass. Man that seemed to last for ever.
Then we weren't even allowed to open our gifts until Christmas day!!
Some of my chums got to open one gift after midnight mass but not us. Oh well times do have changed.

My True Love Gave to Me...
Dearest Dave,

I went to the door today, and the postman delivered a partridge in a pear tree. This was a delightful gift! I couldn't have been more surprised or pleased darling!

With truly the deepest love,
Agnes

December 15, 2003

Dearest Dave,

Today the postman brought me yet another of your sweet gifts. The two turtule doves that arrived today are adorable, and I'm delighted by your thoughtful and generous ways.

With all of my love,
Your Agnes

December 16, 2003

Dearest Dave,

You've truly been too kind! I must protest; I don't deserve such generosity. The thought of getting three French hens amazes me. Yet, I am not surprised--what more should I expect from such a nice person.

Love,
Agnes

December 17, 2003

Dear Dave,

Four calling birds arrived in the mail today. They are truly nice but don't you think that enough is enough? You are being too romantic.

Affectionately,
Agnes

December 18, 2003

Dearest darling Dave,

It was a surprise to get five golden rings! I now have one for every finger. You truly are impossible darling, yet oh how I love it! Quite frankly, all of those squarking birds from the previous days were starting to get on my nerves. Yet, you managed to come through with a beautiful valuable gift!

All my love,
Agnes

December 19, 2003

Dear Dave,

When I opened my door, there were actually six geese a-laying on my front steps. So you're back to the birds again, huh? Those geese are dear, but where will I keep them? The neighbors are complaining, and I am unable to sleep with all the racket. Please stop dear.

Cordially,
Agnes

December 20, 2003

Dave,

What is with you and those stupid birds!? Seven swans a-swimming!! What kind of sick joke is this!!?? There are bird droppings everywhere! They never shut up, and I don't get any sleep!!! I'm a nervous wreck! It's not funny you weirdo, so stop with the birds.

Sincerely,
Agnes

December 21, 2003

O.K. wise guy,

The birds were bad enough. Now what do you expect me to do with eight maids a-milking? If that's not bad enough, they had to bring their cows!! The front lawn was completely ruined by them, and I can't move in my own house! Just lay off me or you'll be sorry!

Agnes

December 22, 2003

Hey loser,

What are you? You must be some kind of sadist!! Now there are nine pipers playing, and they certainly do play! They haven't stopped chasing those maids since they got here! The cows are getting upset, and they're stepping all over those screeching birds. The neighbors are getting up a petition to evict me, and I'm going out of my mind!

You'll get yours!
Agnes

December 23, 2003

You rotten scum!!!

There are now ten ladies dancing! There is only one problem with that! They're dancing twenty-four hours a day all around me with the pipers upsetting the cows and the maids. The cows can't sleep, and they are going to the bathroom everywhere! The building commissioner has subpoenaed me to give cause as to why the house shouldn't be condemned! I can't even think of a reason! You creep! I'm sicking the police on you!

One who means it!

December 24, 2003

Listen you evil, sadistic, maniac!

What's with the eleven lords-a-leaping?!? They are leaping across the rooms breaking everything and even injuring some of the maids! The place smells, is an absolute mad house, and is about to be condemned! At least the birds are quiet; they were trampled to death by the cows. I hope you are satisfied--you rotten vicious worthless piece of garbage!

Your sworn enemy,
Agnes

Back before the kids were born my bride and I would head to midnight mass and then to visit her family in the west end.
But the church reeked of booze and incense, the party each year was more of the same thing from previous years and we finally opted out.
As I aged I got to know many friends who were priests and they would be exhausted by the afternoon on Christmas day. And often they were left alone while everyone else celebrated with family.Tough gig.
So today and tomorrow I will remember those who lost loved ones this year and will have an empty chair at the table.
And don't forget those who live alone without family near.
For those of us with family close enjoy each moment.

Happy Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas tomorrow; may you all enjoy your day(s) with family and/or friends and/or memories. It is all what we make it, so don't be too hard on yourself if it is not how you wish it could be. The sun is shining and we are not without power which equates to heat.

Good Day Blue Roomies..

It is indeed a beautiful day out here at the lake, Bobby, and may you enjoy good health in the years to come. Grump, I am getting a little concerned about your fixation about butts, if it were just shapely ones I would have no concern, however as you seem to be sold on Furry and Sorry ones, I have included in your card a gift certificate to a well known psychiatrist, to help you over your fixation.
Flyhawk, may your dreams of a Liberal/democratic government come true, preferable in your next lifetime, or mine. R W, what can I say, a good plumber is always hard to find, especially when your toilet tank is running at 12 o'clock at night. Wisen, may you wealth increase, buddy can you spare a dime??
And to all the other Roomies I have argued with, too many to remember at my age, may you and yours have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and Health Happy NEW YEAR.

What I do wish for is a country and people who strive and find what unites us not divides us.And don't care what party or coalition achieves that.
This site is a good example of how we can be either or - if we choose to be.
This season is a good time to be men and women of good well towards all.

I want to wish a Merry Christmas to all my friends and family back home. I'm in California and it is sunny and about 75. This is a holiday we really needed and are enjoying ourselves immensely.
The grandkids are growing up so fast we needed to see them. I hope you all feel the love we are experiencing now. May God bless you all in the days to come.

Good stuff and I don't care if it was a photo-op. The guy was there.

Merry Christmas to All
Thanks to all who gave me good and free advice on new harness for my snowshoes. After investigating all tips and sources (and prices), I decided to dig a bit deeper and buy new snowshoes. But still I thank all for the help.

Good evening sweet Soo.. Just coming by to say Merry Christmas to all of Skipper's friends. I'm sure if he was here he would have a deep and thoughtful post for us but since he is not, I'll just remind you all to hold your loved ones close and make sweet memories. We will be recalling all of ours this season. I'm thankful he didn't just say that nice stuff... he lived it! All the best to you and yours.
