Good morning everyone.

It`s cold outside, but they`re calling for warmer tempertures the rest of the week.

I don`t know what`s wrong with me,
last year I only missed a few days of walking through our very cold weather.

This year I`m only outside for a few minutes and I want to go right back inside.
If this keeps up, I`am going to gain some weight.

Morning All,

A trip into town the day for all the stuff to do with Xmas.

Yes, looks to be making ice quickly out there this am, lake looks covered in broken ice as far as the eye can see, just a little open water beyond the reef, maybe 20/30ft wide.

But at least there is none of that white stuff falling out of the sky..

You all have a nice day..

'morning RED ROOMIES,

Spelly - IF I hadn't left out the a in cocoa, I wouldn't have been noticed.

This weather is painfully cold. Raw on the bones. Time for a 1/2 and 1/2 ( COCOA and coffee)

Then, I guess I've got to be in the elements outside, shovelling.

P.S.: How are you managing dragging the recycle monster bin to the street?

Wish I had something funny to say.....

mallet
regarding your response to my post yesterday.

I am sincerely happy that you and your wife have found a relationship style that works. Since so few are willing to put the effort into a relationship that is required it's always nice to see it happen.

I hope you have many more years of success

Thanks for the invite Wicket.
Every year you do your very best to bring us together.
Unfortunately we'll be having family over at that time.
Hope you'll be able to get a great party going.

Evening friends, am feeling a tad better Fybro wise but still have that head cold, i hear that a lot of folks have it and it stays with you for a bit.... Soowat... your right about relationships and i"m happy that Mallet and his wife have stayed together for that many years... I seen a post on fb. some time back and it had a photo of an elderly couple and it read that .. "years back, if something was broke,, you fixed it, you didn"t just throw it away." The new generation these days treat marriage as.... " it"s not till death do us part, but is untill something [ someone ] better comes along ""... sad!.. Thanks Spelly,, was wondering though that if .. full, is spelt.. full,, then why is .. careful,, not have 2 ll"s ?? ,.. You're the Teacher.. explain,lol.... Celeste... I think our bodies have to get adjusted to the cold weather, one day at a time. My hubby works out in it all day and says he is just,, seasoned ,lol... Since the cold and snow have hit, i hav"nt been out for walks or anything, more to do with me little Buddy i think, he gets cold feet and his boots keep coming off.. that"s my story and i"m sticking to it ,lol [ Probably why i got me - my headcold, not going out much to get used to it ]... Everyone make sure to get your tickets this week, i heard the jackpot will be a biggie! I think of all the great things and ways i could help others if i won that much, and of course i"d get a new car that was " winterproof " ,lol... Supposed to be another cold one tonight, so keep the fire burning... Mallet don"t need one, he has his great wife to keep him warm ,lol.. Such a blessing to hear of their years together!... I know,, i"m babbeling,lol.. so night my friends... God bless..

Just out of curiousity, spellchecker - is it not spelled? I thought spelt was a wheat/flour thing....

Tuesday evening I will be out checking out the Christman lighting around town, to see who is in contention for best decorated yards this year.

Wicked out there - stay warm and safe.
seriously 12/16/2013 7:09:36 PM Report

L.O.L. caught myself CHRISTMAS!
Spellchecker 12/16/2013 7:49:08 PM Report

Seriously, 'spelt' and 'spelled' are both acceptable. I prefer 'spelled'.
Spellchecker 12/16/2013 7:52:08 PM Report

I don't know why 'careful' has only one 'l', irishfey. It just does, and so does 'thankful' and all the other 'ful' suffixes.
mallet 12/16/2013 8:44:46 PM Report

Soowat...

I should also add that I have never found anyone else to put up with me. The only other woman who did was my mother and she kept sending me to boarding schools. The other thing I should say is that when I stand before a few people and give my word, that I will love and honour a person I am loath to break that vow, old fashioned perhaps, but that is me.
