Another beautiful day out here Bounder, lake is flat calm and again little to no breeze. You must have a skidoo or other make and like ice fishing, never understood the joy of that, dressing up like the michelin man to keep warm and freezing the fingers off to get a fish off the hook, nah, not for this guy...
Clean up has gone well and now i can do a little more wood splitting, wife likes that fire in the evening as the sun goes down.
Trip into town tomorrow to get groceries and stuff, have to get some good weedkiller for the Japanese dog wood (bamboo) want that gone from one area. Anyone want some, it makes for an instant hedge in spring and the bees love it whent the little white flowers come on it in late summer.
You all have a great day and tomorrow TGIF..

Cut fish in bits sized pieces. Make a brine of;
5/8 cup of pickling salt
1 qt. vinegar
Let stand for 5 days, stirring once a day. Keep in fridge. O the 5th day rinse in cold water.
Make a solution of;
2 cups vinegar
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 tbsp. pickling spice
Bring to a boil and then let it cool. Pack a layer of fish, then a layer of onion in a jar until 3/4 full. Pour cooled solution over the fish and onions. Seal the jar and let stand for 5 days in the fridge before eating.
