The Sault Ste. Marie chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) is feet to host a charity poker run on Sunday, September 8, 2013.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues until noon at Casino Sault Ste. Marie.
The cost per poker hand is $10 (both driver and passenger can purchase a hand) and prizes will be awarded at 2:30 p.m. at the end of the poker run.
- 1st place - 30 percent of poker hand and registration
- 2nd place - 15 percent of poker hand and registration
- 3rd place - 5 percent of poker hand and registration
All bikes and riders are invited and welcome to participate.
Proceeds from this event go to support the United Way on behalf of Pauline's Place.
About Pauline's Place
Pauline's Place is a 12-bed youth shelter that provides access to safe, affordable housing for male and female youth 16-21 years of age who are experiencing crisis and or are in need of somewhere to stay.
Through the provision of emergency and short term housing, as well as referral and outreach services, Pauline's Place will assist and support youth to make the transition to becoming stable and active members of the community.
Pauline's Place has acquired "Second-Stage Housing" a four-unit building that houses youth who have successfully completed the programs at Pauline's Place and are working towards transitioning into independent living with the ongoing help of Pauline's Place staff and The John Howard Society.
