Can't sleep because the ol' "room a tiz" is acting up again.
Anyway, got our new recycle bin yesterday.
I posted the instruction sheet on the fridge along with a note to family that there will be a test on Tuesday.I can see our city councillors wishing that they'd never hears of these things by the end of the winter as they are not going to be situated properly for pick up or they will get knocked to God knows where by the snow plow. Oh well, the complaints,if published, will keep me amused.

Yeah, I dont know where to put it - it's about big enough to LIKE bury me in. Big bad and not better, perhaps?
Took some looking for but - here is what I have for you:
Green Tomato Pickles
2 kg. green tomatoes 1 kg. onion 1/2 small cauliflower 1 cup salt 1 small cucumber 2 L. water.
CHOP VEGGIES into small pieces. Place in large glass bowl. Cover with water. Add salt. Cover, and set aside - overnight. NEXT: transfer to large saucepan, bring to boil, boil 2 mins. Drain & Set aside.
In another saucepan - 1/2 C flour 2 1/2 C brown sugar, firmly packed 1 1/2 tsp powdered mustard 2 tsp turmeric 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp curry powder.
Mix into a smooth paste with a little of the malt vinegar. Boil until mixture thickens. Add 2 1/2 C malt vinegar. Add veggies, bring back to boil, boil until veggies are tender, 1 min. Remove from heat and bottle in sterilized jars.
Can add a can or kernal corn - may omit the cucumber --- Watch for the salt - use 3/4 C. is acceptable.
Now, you all have a very safe and wonderful weekend. I have a recipe for just about everything BEST RECIPES
But - tell you the truth, I'm skinny with thoughts of all that I'd like to pig out on...and on...and on... AHA! Not even going to marinate my PORTERHOUSE

Well another saturday here and the soccer season is well under way. Not sure how my home town is going to make out, they have spent a lot of money on transfers this year, but also let go a lot of guys who got them where they are now. Canadian Simeon Jackson was let go and has gone to Germany to play..
It is a little cloudy out here today and the humidity is not that bad, but nice when the sun comes out.
As for the "wheely bins" I think Timmins has those and did not seem to have too much trouble during the winter, maybe a lot will depend on what time the plows come around andhow much snow is/has fallen.
You all have a great weekend..
