RLE 3/3/2013 8:58:16 AM ReportMorning everyone.
Friend of mine told me this story. Awhile ago his family was playing trivia pursuit. One of the players was his ten year old grandson. When it was grandson's turn to answer a question he had to go to the bathroom. When he came back he gave the right answer. The third time dad got a little suspicious and trailed grandson to the bathroom. Sure enough, grandson was using technology to look up the answer. Family members agreed that they had a politician in the making

Grump 3/3/2013 10:54:36 AM ReportRLE at least he sounds like he would be a Liberal as he is too bright to become a neo-con or a Dipper. LMAO.
Wicket 3/3/2013 11:04:54 AM ReportGood morning, another 'feel-good-inside" kinda day, blue skies and sunshine. This morning it dawned on me that the kitchen colours are yellow and blue - coincidence, I think not, but did not realize when I did it that it represents the two colours that make me the happiest. Although, red is my favorite colour, I don't have much of it decorating the house, although the burgandy tends to be more on the red hues than brown....
Have a happy day, and pass on that smile to someone that has a sad face...
epc 3/3/2013 11:50:17 AM ReportGood Morning Red Roomies

Have a great day and be safe!
nanag 3/3/2013 2:41:59 PM ReportOkay so right after work I went for a walk at the park on the pathways.. so a bit slippery.. of course I slip a couple of times and now I can hardly stand up straight.. gonna sit and ice the old back down so I can work tomorrow... ohh woe is me.. kinda damned if you do and damned if you don't.. It was chilly but beautiful. glad I got a good walk in before I realized how uncomfortable my back feels
Wicket 3/3/2013 4:37:58 PM ReportOh, nanag, you should know better than that, bet you lecture your patients on not putting themselves in precarious positions after a back injury, just saying... hope it feels better tomorrow.
nanag 3/3/2013 4:53:58 PM ReportWicket
I am a firm believer in "do what I say, don't do what I do" hahah
It is feeling a bit better already.. so i will be as right as rain come morning :)
Grump 3/3/2013 6:42:21 PM ReportI was building a heavy hardwood staircase years ago and bent over and grabbed it to flip it over. I pulled something in my back and had to really watch it for a long while after that. A chiropractor told me to stretch in the morning. Before you get up, laying on your back, reach across to the opposite knee and pull it up as close to the chest as you can twice each side. It really works for me. If my back starts to bother me I give it that little stretch in the morning. Hope it helps.
epc 3/3/2013 6:57:33 PM ReportGood Evening Red Roomies
I hope you are feeling better Nanag..
Do you think old beans are uncookable?
I made baked beans yesterday in the slow cooker for 6 hours. Put in another couple of hours again today and they are still a bit hard. The flavour is great and one of my best batches yet. However, these beans have been opened and although sealed, in the cupboard over a year.
I bought a new bag of beans and may try again next week.
mallet 3/3/2013 8:20:44 PM ReportGrump and Nanag...
chiropractor showed me a very easy way to have a good stretch, he called it the "wheelbarrow", basically it involves laying on your stomach holding onto the side of the matress and having your partner hold onto you legs "wheelbarrow" style and gently lean backwards, NOT jerking, a gentle lean back. This gives the spine a slight backwards bend and the pull stretches the spine apart... worked for my trouble and strife for quite awhile, until she did some other damage that does not respond to chiropratic treatment..
nanag 3/3/2013 8:47:03 PM ReportGrump
That is a good idea.. thanks I will try that in the morning before I get up
Mallet
If the "wheelbarrow" takes two.. I am out of luck.. I live alone and I don't think I will be calling the ex-husband for any assistance. I would truly rather be .... well never mind but I will have to pass on the "wheelbarrow" sounds a bit kinky tho huh? (wink)
Grump 3/3/2013 8:49:57 PM ReportNanag if you had a partner around would you waste your time playing wheelbarrow? lol
Grump 3/3/2013 8:51:10 PM Reportepc just let them sit for a few days , they will soften.
nanag 3/3/2013 8:55:23 PM ReportGrump... I don't know I think I may have conceived one of my kids playing something like that hahahahah
