Good morning everyone, time to rock and roll. rw I swear you are going to have to get a new posse as I have stumps in my backyard brighter than most of them. They are reflecting badly on you. Brianne why not buy drones so he can zap those pesky lefties and Liberals. No wonder Flaterty is looking so worn out, Harper wants to spend and Jim's credit card is maxed out. I have a tough time when the posse start praising this government, you know it's the old rating system. eg dumb, dumber and dumbest and it's damn hard to fit them all in in the proper places. Add to that we now we have a tie for dumbest with another contender doing his best to make it a three way tie. Have a great day all, I have to run over to the site to check a couple of things.

Six more sleeps and we get to meet face to face, I'm nervous aren't you? I mean what if we make a great break thru and actually like your favourite protagonist. After all I've never met "Are Dubya" face to face and I've certainly done my share of " kick butt". Wonder if he observes the rules about no hitting one-armed bald guys in public. Maybe I will sit beside Fly and rw will forget about me and growl at Fly for the afternoon. It was nice to meet Shakey and some other dear friends at Searchmount yesterday. Jeez there's another one, shakey comes over to the table all dressed up for the world giant slalom. Another spandex freak lookin like a giant banana in his bright neon spandex jump suit complete with racing stripe. Jeez in this get up you could tell if he was a gentile or jew, swear to gawd.
The ski hill is an ideal venue for a recovering cancer patient to be infused with inspiration. All these middle age guys and older hanging out with their buddies for a beer than out to the hill to courageously cheat death one more time and live to tell the tale. What a bunch. p.s. Think I'll stick to sailing.

Did you buy your house with all those stumps on the property?
You do know they have these tall things called trees that you could grow in your back yard.
The dump is not just for fighting...you can dig out the stumps and bring them with you on your next fight night.

Those of us in attendance will be free to have an adult conversation without the endless shrieking from the kiddies' table.
When your raison d'etre is to annoy everyone around you it would be akin to trying out for a job as a Chippendale dancer with a banana stuffed in your BVDs. When the snickering turned into guffaws he would just slink away to the swamp.

Wisen you are right for a change ,I can't get past the Flat as in neo-con heads. rw I won't dance with you or for you but I would buy you that Scotch that we have spoken about. Small chance I will have to go to Pembrooke this week but heard from my guy down there yesterday and it is not very likely. By the way I did get rid of the stumps, had I not I would have upgraded your posse for you. lol. Wisen any twit that still supports Harper has be a no information voter. That said we all screw up voting for the wrong politician once in a while but some of us wake up when it starts to stink. You are also right I don't have a lot of time to worry about details that don't mean squat while I'm managing two large projects, one out of town. That said there is a great paying job there for any hotshot that can handle it. Then again you would have to come out of Mommy's basement and leave your computer behind and be able to handle a lot of hard assed Trades. For more info on that speak to rw.

Time to get my bets down on the next pope.
I'm still culling through the list for a rigid neo-con 'keeper of the faith'. Unfortunately there are too many to choose from right now.

Next Pope - Both my daughters hold valid Irish citizenship papers and I have asked their opinion. And I quote "don't give a rats ass until and unless the current Pope is Irish and Female". I think they may have inherited some of their dear old Dad's cynicism for all things Catlick.

Re. the New Pope. I suppose it's far too much to hope for that they will elect a progressive leader of this century. The changes needed will be soon or when there is little left of The Roman Catholic Church. As I see it now would be much better.

The Catholic Church as well as any other form of organized religion is primarily a political entity and has very little to do with spirituality.
It is about power. The Vatican is grotesquely rich ( something something about a camel and the eye of the needle just doesn't seem to jive) and caters to the insecurities of the faithful.
It's grasp on the souls of the sheep, as it were, is slowly fading in industrialized countries but gaining in developing countries . I would not be surprised if the new Pope is strategically elected from an African or another developing, 3rd-world country. It is a well calculated and carefully orchestrated ritual. They already know who the next Pope will be.
I personally don't care one way or another, but I am fascinated by the process.
The genesis of the rise of the Catholic Church can be researched, or "googled" if you will, by looking into the influence Emperor Constantine's wife had on the political decision making process during the fading days of the Roman empire. Hence, the birth of this cult was politically spawned and continued with a ruthless history throughout the ages, from persecution, to the inquisition and to not to far off events like residential schools right here in our own backyard.
And all we got so far from the Vatican, are luke-warm apologies.
The irresponsible stance on the evils of condoms, specifically in sub-saharan African countries is indefensible.
The facilitating of Nazi war criminals, known as the "ratlines"..i.e to sneek away from prosecution and to find safe haven in South America is a topic to vast to delve into at this point.
Last but not least, other than lame apologies and a promise to do better, I have not seen a genuine outrage by the Vatican hierarchy in light of the uncovering of systemic and institutionalized child sexual molestation.
In my book, the Catholic Faith is no better or worse than Scientology.

They are losing market share.
I drove by a local pentecostal church this week and its sign read a message to the effect to join them in a praise service.
Compare that to the RC church down the street up to its knees in lent - repent, fast and sacrifice. One is selling McHappy Experiences and the other doom and gloom with the possibility of salvation if they sacrifice enough.
Which one will today's consumer buy?
So what does management do? They throw out the good news of Vatican II celebrating the people of God and the social justice message from the sermon on the mount for more hierarchical control and blind faith and obedience.
Like radical Muslims sooner than later an intelligent, educated group will start to see the myth of control and either walk away or rebel.
Sooner than later with the effect of social media, good journalism and the rule of law will render it a blip on the historical timeline.
If you view the Catholic church as a business and not a religion it helps to understand the current dilemma.

I appreciate where you're coming from and I had the same experience with another, "revered" blue room poster.
I made it clear to him that our interactions will be over as he became rather personal.....this blog is for entertainment purposes only !
Some folks will take this blog far too seriously...maybe it's their only outlet as no one in their personal life will listen to them.

The difference is...they know me! They know what I am all about.
It is one thing to disagree on political or social issues...quite another to engage in personal attacks loaded with information gathered on a one on one interaction and then using said information to try to win the upper hand in a public forum in order to gain points.
The anonymity of this site is great...it allows an insight into peoples minds that would otherwise be clouded.
I would like to remain anonymous even though nothing I posted in here I would not divulge in a face to face encounter.

Some kids mature earlier than others. The consequences of not knowing the ramifications of engaging in sexual activities far outweigh moral and ethical considerations.
That booklet is harmless compared what kids are exposed today on the internet.
Give them the information they need to stay healthy.
Most parents are ill equipped to do that.

Yet my concern does come back from time to time. Especially since I have felt a bit under the weather the past few days, although not flu-like. I did have a skinned knee that has been commented on, but not by you. I'd like to have your opinion of that if I could get it, but either way I will do my best to refrain from posting again on this thread. Thanks

Dr Pearson at the emergency told me that the chances of being infected due to my exposure were less than being hit by a bus after leaving the hospital.
He did not recommend PEP and he was right!
We had an extensive talk and he clarified certain urban myths for me.
