Good morning everyone.

Bounder, how many fish did you catch?

Did you guys know that a Bananna is a super food, it is also a mood food, it`s loaded with magnesium which improves your mood, boosts resistance to stres and decreases anxiety, but also with copius(abundant) amounts of B6, which helps mental alertness.

Bananna`s are also rich in amino acid tryptophan, which helps promote the brains production of serotonin, which is associated with feelings of calm and wellbeing.

From my magazine, Mind, Mood & Memory.

Have a nice day everybody.

Good snowy morning Celeste and Bounder.
Thanks for the advice on bananas. I try to eat one every day but it's hard to notice if they do any good. Anyway, they can't hurt.

Good Morning C5, Bounder and DT and to the rest of the Red Roomies to come.

Not as much snow in this storm as expected but it does look heavy. I am going to see if I can find a teen that is willing to shovel my driveway for some money. It was a mixture of wet snow and rain. Temps today forecast at plus 1 and plus 2 for tomorrow. So, this needs to be cleared before the temp drops on Friday.

It is almost March and I can smell Spring.

Bananas are a wonder food. They are also the best sleeping pill. If you have trouble sleeping, eat a banana in the evening and it helps.

Have a great day and be safe!

Good morning everyone.
A banana cut on the diagonal, with a dollup of peanut butter (I like crunchy), and a drizzle of honey, is a healthy evening snack.

Epc

Good morning, I bought this book, Food-Your Miracle Medicine, it says a banana soothes an upset stomach and strengthens the stomach lining against acid and ulcers, has antibiotic activity.

epc 2/27/2013 10:48:26 AM Report

So correct C5. It truly is a miracle food.

The book I have is " Your body can Heal Itself" over 87 foods everyone should eat.

I always try to use natural and healthy alternatives to medicine.

Of course, I am only human and stray and eat junk food and snacks...

bounder

I grew up in a small town in N.W. Ont. We didn't eat Perch because they were wormy, caused,so I was told, because the water was too warm. I moved to SSM about thirty years ago and it wasn't until the late "90's that I was convinced to try eating Perch. Now I eat them on a regular basis.
Enjoy!
karebear 2/27/2013 11:57:52 AM Report

Good almost afternoon red roomies

darn all this talk of fresh fish. I want a shore lunch of perch please.

Naners are one of my favourite fruits.

Have a good one. sand epc, please keep the snow and cold there. We have had our fill here in the North.
saultresident 2/27/2013 1:31:13 PM Report

Did you know that bananas are also good for a charlie horse and leg aches? I believe it's the potassium.
SandyB 2/27/2013 2:43:37 PM Report

'nanas are not the greatest for those of us who 'have the sugar' as my nana used to say..

Pink Peony 2/27/2013 2:44:29 PM Report

Wicket, are you there? Weren't you going to organize a get together at the Canadian soon or did I miss it?
Grump 2/27/2013 4:47:46 PM Report

P.P. I believe that was Fly trying to get one going at the Watertower but if it was Wicket too then two get togethers are better than one. lol
Wicket 2/27/2013 5:19:56 PM Report

Hi everyone, hope you have all had a great day..
PP, I was going to do something towards the end of February, but wasn't feeling well enough to get into it..
and then Flyhawk has called a summit meeting at the Water Tower on a Saturday (yuk), first week of March I think - in the front (bar) room...
Don't know if I will be there or not, no loss to everyone else if I don't show - lol.
If some of the new ones are going to attend, I may have to do some juggling 'cause there are a couple I would like to meet.
We will have to check the blue room because he never posts in here, guess he doesn't like to be that "social" lol.

sorry for the double post, my screen isn't showing that the post has processed...
epc 2/27/2013 7:00:31 PM Report

Well... I should have called a teen to do the driveway.

Went out 3 times today, because I thought if I do it in small amounts I would be ok. Not that much snow, but with the water, it was like shovelling cement.

Right now I have a pulled muscle in my back.

Should have hired a student... I really should have.
Pink Peony 2/27/2013 7:18:38 PM Report

Wicket, I hope you feel better soon! I'm not going to the one called in the blue room.

I came across this great commercial from the super bowl today. It brought a tear to my eye, ok a few tears, happy tears.
