Good morning Sweet Soo!
The last bastion of male chauvinism is about to fall. Hollywood has taken over the Inde500, Danica Patrick is about to prove to drop dead gorgeous women everywhere that if you dream big enough any obstacle can be overcome. Coming fresh from a nude photo shoot she has won the pole position. All of this after only weeks of leaving her seven year marriage to be with the real Mr. Right rookie driver Tom Slick.
Cringe Mr. Spellchecker the world of reality TV is about to take over Nascar. The Sponsors have finally figured out how to scoop the loud cars all turning left crowd. Throw in some naked Butt all turning left driver. Sad really now some of the good ole boys won't be allowed to watch due to that coveting thing.
RLE 2/23/2013 6:02:34 AM Report

Morning all.

More snow.Birds and bears are smarter than we northerners.

I Thought the following was kind of neat.

Touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,

'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined

See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'

Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.
They look gross when they kiss'

Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents
And listen.'

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate, '

Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day..'

Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody
You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford .'

Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'

Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'

Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.'(what an image)

Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross..'

Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'

Jessica - age 8
And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there..

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

Skippy, the old tradition of (Gentelmen start your engines is now drivers start your engines). My motor has always run when I saw a good looking woman, nobody had to tell me to start anything.I hope the rest of the field is chasing butt all day long.LOL
flyhawk25 2/23/2013 7:44:33 AM Report

RLE...what a great start to the weekend.
Thank you.
It is amazing what we can learn from listening to children.
That renews my faith that our world will be just fine.
skipper dave 2/23/2013 8:42:59 AM Report

The world will and always has been fine! However the people in it certainly cover a broad spectrum.
Politics provincial - I don't want a provincial election this summer. If we have one we get more of the same nuttiness from the alternatives. I am all for the Liberals playing this one out to the end. Why, so we get some idea of what's hidden in all the closets. After all this is the same gang who thought closing down parliament for five months is OK if your leader decides to retire (I'm still choking on the rational behind that one). Now we see them scrambling to jump in bed with either of the opposition in order to avoid a non-confidence vote. No let them stay right where they are so we can turn up the lights and see where the wealthy's hard earned tax dollar has gone. Locally we have never had a representative, just a member of parliament. Given the liberals self destruct will give the opposition time enough to form some semblance of ability to govern. If we had one this summer I'd have to vote Green.
Grump 2/23/2013 8:47:05 AM Report

Skipper I agree that it's sad that all these good old boy fundamentalists can't watch Nascar any more due to naked women. There goes a true red neck sport by the way. Then again the Hollywood crowd seem to be there for a good time not a long time. That said the good book says "All things will come to pass". Hang in there Spelly you should be back watching it in a while or you can always try a peak when the boss isn't looking. lol.
skipper dave 2/23/2013 8:59:04 AM Report

Grump you are going to get Spelly in trouble. Nascar was the one sport that allowed the Tilton Hilton crowd to feel grounded. Imagine quaffing vast quantities of ale (make you dizzy) while watching a whole bunch of cars turn left with the pedal to the floor. Harmless right? Now introduce SEX. You put a beautiful woman in a car and every red neck for a hundred miles is going to kill himself trying to pass her with that stupid hi good looking grin on his face. I think if she does nothing but drive we will have the rest of the field self destructing all around her. Going to be a race of yellow cautions I'm predicting then the Tilton crowd are going to be going home and kicking down the door yelling whose for some lovin?

It won't matter as they can't be awatchin all that there sinnin goen on. LMAO. Skipper you are just going to have to do the right thing for all those nice red necks. You are going to have to hold Bible classes for them (interdenominational of course). That's a real win win as you get to do some book stompin and they get to do some lernin. Carry on.
Bad Dawg 2/23/2013 9:46:09 AM Report

You didn't know sex sells??... even us rednecks know that. You see sex selling in most TV shows, you haven't seen all the phamacuticals commercials that make it better.

And so what if she was naked... she has it then she can flaunt it. Nascar is 65 yrs old... bout time they see some skin hahahaha

Joanne Fox wants her baby's Daddy, Jamie Obden (who killed the baby), to marry her and come live with her and her "fur babies" after he is released from prison. Someone needs to tell her what a bad idea that is.
flyhawk25 2/23/2013 10:13:51 AM Report

Wisen...I read that as well.
I am still shaking my head. I have never been in favor of forced sterilization but she might be the exception.
The dead baby's father is locked up but she needs to be for the sake of all of those unborn babies she could produce.
The frightening things is there are more people out there like them.
What kind of a society have we allowed to develop around us?
Bad Dawg 2/23/2013 10:23:25 AM Report

THATS JUST SICK..... this guy is the perfect example of sterilization and he only got 6 yrs?? That itself is a tragedy... she wants him back?? She should be up for sterilization too!!!
nanag 2/23/2013 10:28:59 AM Report

Well... Danica may have gotten naked..but that doesn't make her beautiful. She may be pretty.. but to call her beautiful is a definite overstatement.

Maybe her game plan was to ignite the testosterone so the boys are hard pressed to concentrate on their left turns and strategies ?(not that there is much strategy required to turn left)

Personally I think some of those guys will maintain their concentration and she will be out of commission early.

She thinks she is a "sex symbol" that can make it in male dominated venue...I don't think she will make it too far or be the "next big thing" in Nascar. I think she is mediocre at best.

I can hear you all now.. ohh Nanag you are just jealous.. au contraire. I cheer when females can infiltrate male dominated societies I just don't think this one(Danica) is all that
Mr. Poster 2/23/2013 10:41:59 AM Report

Oben admits he killed the baby. What does he get for that? They reduce murder to manslaughter and give him 1.5. days credit for time served instead of the usual 1.0 We have to find judges with the guts to dish out harsher penalties. This Oben murdered an innocent baby no matter how you look at it.
AceOfBass 2/23/2013 10:57:08 AM Report

This sick dude should have got Life no parole.Someone should relieve the judge of their duties the judge is just as bad as the person the judge sentenced.
skipper dave 2/23/2013 11:01:30 AM Report

I must agree with nanag on this one - She won the pole position that's all. When the real thing starts we can judge her ability to fly 12 inches off the other guys wing while doing over two hundred miles an hour. Till then just a pretty face designed to sell whatever the flavour of the month is. Let's bring Richard Petty out of retirement.

The question will be whether it is a Conservative minority or majority.

Mike Duffy is repentant and will repay his ill-gotten living expenses. He is not admitting to wrong-doing, but simply wants to clear the air so he can get down to the business of 'Senatoring', whatever the hell that is, besides cashing monthly cheques and providing second sober (ahaha) thought to legislative bills.

What a joke! Tell Revenue Canada that you misunderstood the terms and will repay the money you absconded from them. Tell EI the papers were confusing and you will repay them their money! Good Luck with that. They will tell you 'Save the story for the judge'!

I particularly enjoyed Rick Mercer's take on the whole rotten situation....
Mr. Poster 2/23/2013 11:28:16 AM Report

So, does this female race car driver think she is "all that", or are the media making her out to be something that she isn't; thus capitalizing and making money at her expense. Just asking?

On another note, can someone with electrical experience tell me if I can plug a new fridge into the same double plug that a very full to the top old freezer is also plugged into. The plug is not part of any other circuit.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 12:02:35 PM Report

I believe she had the charges dismissed, not that she was found 'not guilty'. There is a difference.

If anyone has followed the Frank Piccolo story, we can see the results of inaction. Tragic!!

Wicket - read the data off the nameplates, your breaker is probably rated for 15 amps. The two name plates totalled will have to fall below this value. Ex: 1500 watt kettle draws 15 amps, plug in your twinkie nose trimmer (rated at .25 of an amp) and the breaker blows.
flyhawk25 2/23/2013 12:46:47 PM Report

Rather than debate the merits of Hudak let's look at Millroy's story on the nurse.
Based on Doug's article we should all be outraged over the lack of due process.
I really don't know why her union isn't screaming from the roof top.
Sadly it just reinforces my opinion of the lousy management at our multi-million dollar shrine to incompetence.

Pegasus2 2/23/2013 1:13:50 PM Report

"I believe she had the charges dismissed, not that she was found 'not guilty'. There is a difference."

Big Brother:
Please tell us the difference. If she was not found guilty, then does it not follow that she was not guilty? Maybe you mean that the judge didn't say she was innocent? That would make more sense than what you claim. Maybe you know something about the case we don't, seeing as you seem to be at odds with everyone else about it. If the hospital had been as thorough as the court, there wouldn't have been a court case.
Mr. Poster 2/23/2013 1:18:02 PM Report

Maione should launch a case for money against the hospital. I think she would then be quickly re-hired.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 1:31:56 PM Report

I don't claim anything. The Judge's word 'dismissed'. There is a difference between dismissed and not guilty. A rather large difference. That's it....nothing more to say, because I know nothing more. I stand by my comment. Look up the difference and get back to me, because, in law, legalese is chosen very carefully.
Snobank 2/23/2013 2:08:22 PM Report

"Sadly it just reinforces my opinion of the lousy management at our multi-million dollar shrine to incompetence."

Every time Fly makes one of his unsubstantiated rants about our local hospital I feel compelled to reply. As someone approaching his 8th decade I have had plenty of opportunity to visit various hospitals around our province. I have had to transport several family members to our new hospital on several occasions over the past two years. In every single case we have been treated with compassion, courtesy and reasonable promptness. The cleanliness alone is worlds better than the old Plummer or General.

The hospital is not perfect. The main hall is incredibly long and I wish the signage was a little lower. The food is hospital food. (I know as the years go by the memories of the epicurean meals served at the old hospitals get stronger and stronger, but, they really were not so great. I'll take a clean, curative hospital over a wonderful meal any day tho it would be nice to have both.)

As to the firing, rehiring situation, it's a damned if I do, damned if I don't situation. Fly might well have screamed just as loud if the nurse was rehired before being formally cleared by the courts and her own governing body. In fact, he probably would have come to the prompt defence of the helpless patients who might be endangered by the too prompt rehiring of a nurse who hadn't been properly vetted by the College of Nurses, her profession's governing body.

So, when the usual rational Fly tars decent local people with statements like "lousy management" and "multi-million dollar shrine to incompetence" even he can be fit to overblown hyperbole, the very stuff he used to red pencil in his students' essays.

By the way,I hope the nurse gets her job back.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 2:26:11 PM Report

Don't get me wrong. I feel terrible for all involved in the case, including the patient. Their dementia can cause them to be cantankerous and belligerent and surely frustrate the most professional of all.

There is a due process in these situations. It may not seem fair to all, but read the Robins' Report, developed as a result of a lack of process in the education system. The err is in favour of the alleged victim, rightly or wrongly. And, once again, read the story of Frank Piccolo.

In the south, the MSM keys on basically two drivers, one a woman and the other a man. Both are unachievers, neither having won anything of consequence recently. Danica Patrick of course, who has never come close to winning a Sprint Cup race, and the other is Dale Jr. who is lucky to win one race a year. Three of the best drivers of all time, Jimmy Johnson (5 consecutive championships), Jeff Gordon (4 championships) and Tony Stewart with three are virtually ignored. If Patrick even finishes the race I will be surprised and Junior, who has won one Daytona 500, has made so many mistakes since joining the Hendrick team that for him to win, the Big Guy will have to drop everything else he is doing on Sunday.

Pegasus...I just returned from Victoria Hospital in London.
Lights years over ours.
Without exception - every worker I have spoken to at SAH says how badly managed it is.
My surgeon is so upset he will not comment except to grind his teeth.
It is a badly designed, badly run dump.
So if you want to cheer lead for Orazetti's shrine go right ahead.
I disagree.
Snobank 2/23/2013 3:01:49 PM Report

How sad, fly, negative comments without attribution, (except for your doctor's dental work, I guess), the dragging in of Orazetti for reasons I don't fathom, and addressing a legendary flying horse.

Are you alright?

(I am familiar with Victoria Hospital. I would describe it as very similar to ours in staff and their positive attitudes. The building is much bigger, older, and rambling and tired.)

Are you alright?
Just Curious 2/23/2013 3:20:07 PM Report

Fly, for what it's worth I'm totally on your side in this. I was just at Victoria hospital yesterday for a pre-admit and it was in,get you done and out,all totally professional, friendly and with no sense of being taken for granted. Every time I walk into the monument to the powers that be in the Soo, the first thing I think about that huge waste of space lobby is they could have put 20 rooms there instead. Every time I walk down that green mile hallway I walk past a bunch of empty rooms with fancy name plates and nothing at all going on in them. I go to my urologist's office there and I have seen bigger broom closets while all this space sits unused. Hell, even the space by the Timmies is rarely ever full.Whoever designed that place should maybe do one more and then tear up his license. Like you,I haven't met one person yet that works there that has much good to say about it..A hospital is there for one purpose and one purpose only, and should be designed only for that purpose. It doesn't need to be fancy,it needs to work...
Grump 2/23/2013 3:20:47 PM Report

T-rat I wasn't spoofing red necks, just the fundalmentist ones. Your take on it I agree with. Mallet is that for sure re the Brits changing sides of the road? I never minded driving over there but just had to be carefull to look the right way at intersections. Also those Lads on the M. highways sure as hell move along which I liked.
flyhawk25 2/23/2013 3:21:21 PM Report

Snobank...better now after seeing my new doc and his staff. Top notch folks.
Without exception everyone I met there was friendly and helpful - and - the place is going through renovations.
In fairness it is a teaching hospital and also the staff at our new place were very nice if frustrated.
I'm back in April for a week and a fairly simple operation.
Thanks for asking. I'm buying green bananas again.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 3:30:47 PM Report

Better re-read Mallet's statement about the UK driving thingy. I don't want to point out the obvious, but re-read and you'll begin laughing, once you see it!! The date isn't a coincidence.
Just Curious 2/23/2013 3:35:16 PM Report

Totally understand your comment about buying green bananas I'm actually thinking about buying 2 year plates for my truck...Like you ,have surgery on the 28th and home to the Soo in a month or so if all goes well.I guess we should be thankful we have great healthcare in this country that we can afford. In some countries in this world I know I would have just been left to die,no money to pay for it and too old to bother with...
Just Curious 2/23/2013 3:45:32 PM Report

Big brother,Mallet's post was funny as hell.I had to read it twice before I caught it and I have a reputation of looking at the flip side first time around....LOL..

If the trucks and buses start driving on the right hand side now and the cars and motorcycles the following year, they could have some major accidents happening soon, right! My money is on the trucks and buses over the cars and motorcycles. At least until they are all on the same side of the road.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 3:50:02 PM Report

Just Curious,
It is one of those puzzlers. My tip was the Brits changing anything that America does may look like surrender to those 'damn Yankees'. And, vice versa.

'Maybe you know something about the case we don't, seeing as you seem to be at odds with everyone else about it. If the hospital had been as thorough as the court, there wouldn't have been a court case.'

I probably know as much about the case as anyone else. Not much!! Because I have a different opinion and appear to be at odds with all others on here, means I don't follow the crowd, but doesn't mean I'm wrong. BTW, it's likely not the Hospitals job to investigate allegations. That would be the police, then deciding on laying a charge, under the guidance of the Crown Attorney's Office.

That's all I'll say about this. Like I said, I feel bad for all involved. The nurse will likely get her job back once the College of Nurses (if that's what they are called) reviews the case.
Mr. Poster 2/23/2013 4:13:34 PM Report

I spent 5 days in our new hospital. My only complaint would be about the "airplane" food that is flown in for patients. The shortage of nurses is very eveident and those nurses are doing the best they can. Continually attacking our hospital without SPECIFICS is silly at best.

Fly has a hate on for our local hospital, always has.
For what reason who the hell knows (or cares).
Let him chew his cud.
My Father-in-law has been going through some serious health issues as of late and the care he has received at our local hospital has been top rate.
He is being flown back today from St Micheal's in T.O., another great place.
My son had hand surgery in London at another great hospital.
They all strive to provide the best health care they can.
There are many, many, more examples of great care from our local hospital than the isolated bitch sessions from a fly.

big bro

Not guilty, dismissed, whatever.
I was not looking to split hairs on legal definitions...and yes I know there is a difference.
My post, to nanag, was a follow-up on the outcome as I have been following this story from the start.
That is why I provided a link to Millroy's editorial.
The reason that I asked nanag about this in the fist place is (nanag is a nurse) I could not believe that she was fired simply based on the accusation of a co-worker.
I could see suspended with pay until completion of the trial... but fired?
Good thing she paid all those union dues.
BIG BROTHER 2/23/2013 4:53:43 PM Report

You can call it splitting hairs or whatever, but there is a huge difference and the court see's it differently. That was all I was getting at. She was not found 'not guilty'. The case was simply dismissed.

As for unions: I'm sure they will follow their procedure and work to have her re-instated, unless there were other things we don't know about. I agree, firing is a little harsh, without a conviction.

I know nanag is a nurse; I'm the one who threw a caution her way, because talking about an ongoing issue, by an employee, can lead to consequences for her. (or the person doing the talking) She is held to a different standard than you or I, and it could be the union pressing the issue with her, not her employer.

Interesting,rw; your father had to go to TO,your son had to go to london, yet we have this monstrous ediface here in the north end of our beautiful city that does what?. Trust me, until you go yourself, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.I have spent more time than I like to think about in hospitals since the early 90's and the care in the old hospitals was far superior to the new one. People that complain about the quality of food have short memories, however,as I never found the food to be much better in the old hospitals. Hospital food is what it is,generic at best. I have spent time in Sudbury hospitals,London hospitals, and our local monument to the powers that be.Until you have been there yourself, you never will get a grip on the difference. One thing I will say ,tho,is quit bitching about the parking.Twelve bucks for an hour and a half at Vic as opposed to five dollars for the day here.I know I won't complain about that anymore...:)

Big Brother It looks like Mallet got me for sure. Probably no much of a challenge these days. Years ago when I could have used some extra work you had to hustle for it. Now I would like to cut back a bit or dare I say retire and the damn phone just keeps ringing with good offers. I have a hotel going in Pembroke and a fair sized job running in the Sault right now so my old butt is dragging pretty low. That said I'll have to watch that Mallet. I worked with plenty of Brits in Saudi and they are all a bad lot. LMAO

Having got over the excitement of my home town team winning for the first time since last year, I have calmed down after getting my first bill from Algoma Power with the ToU on it. Let me first thank Mr Mcguinty and the OEB for their forward thinking "Smart Meters" before I start to say what I think of them.. I am not sure what the thinking behind this idea was, because they now say they have sufficient power, and do not need to pay exorbitant prices for "Green Power". Prehaps the idea was to make a lot of the population "night owls" as they would not want to pay the prices for top rate power, or prehaps it was to remove a lot of older folks from the population by freezing them in the winter months when they could not afford to have their heating on during that time of high priced power. Prehaps this is their way of thinking to reduce the hospital wait times, or the doctor shortage, or even the waiting time for retirement home placements. Or maybe it was just to do what so many accuse some other politicians of doing, line their friends pockets at the expense of the consumer again. Thank you so much Mr No More Taxes, I shall remember you!!!

The self appointed expert on all things is being taken to task over our hospital versus others by those of us who actually are patients - not observers.
Bad enough we have to drive 7 1/2 hours to get better health care but now our local expert is telling us that if we complain we are delusional.
I have lived through the bullshit of being being put on hold for a year because:
a)we do not have the facility to do a procedure that either Sudbury or London can do;
b)Sudbury cannot because it has no money left in its budget until the new fiscal year;
c)they simply ignored/failed to respond to five faxes from my local surgeon over 12 months;
d)David O never answered my e-mail over why this has happened.
So yes - I am somewhat of an expert on this.As my surgeon said "I am tired of being David Orazetti's travel agent".
And I am tired of the continued pontificating on health care from right wing on things that he has no knowledge about.
When my London doc said that I would have to return after my April operation for post-op tests and consult I asked him why I should drive that distance for tests that can be done here and handled by his colleague here he stopped and said - you are right, why not?
So spare me the amateur theories. It is 2013 and I accept the reality of choosing to live here.
But I do not accept the obvious difference in service because I made that choice, I know that as a consumer/patient I can encourage change and be angry at bad decisions and I definitely can be angry over some self-absorbed expert blathering on once again about things about which he is too stupid to understand.

Now you've gone and done it. rw appears to have fallen asleep, but this will surely awaken him, one half of his brain tied behind his back, the other half on vacation, ready to take on all non-believers. He saw a poll today you know!! Besides, I think fly has been softening him up for another bet.
flyhawk25 2/23/2013 7:48:53 PM Report

BB...softening him up?
Are you kidding me?
The guy has lost so many bets that the Soup Kitchen includes his 'donations' on their financial spread sheets.
I cannot be bothered.

J.C. Flyhawk...

I do not mind the parking fee as such, it is just why only two entrances, lots of exits. If you have to go to the eye clinic, or the mri/cat/bone scan, you have to walk half the length of the place, which if someone has problems walking, doing that it is a bloody problem. When you are called for any of the above why not send a keycard with the appointment, to be handed in when you get there. I agree with Flyhawk about the need for all the testing/retesting and the specialists who do not reply, even when you find one. I have a family member with back/disc problems, try finding a specialist for that, try this, try that, oh sorry can't do anything now, we need more tests, then come a see us again. I could go on but what is the point, I have emailed Deb Mathews to no avail, they have their agenda and nothing else matters...

The only things our local hospital manages to do in a reasonable fashion is ingrown toe nails and maybe....just maybe twisted testicles....other than that it is a mismanaged hell hole.
Maybe rw has had a great experience in the emergency room removing foreign objects from unmentionable orifices...I never had that (mis) fortune.
Should I ever get sick I'd move !
It's a top heavy disgrace of a place and an embarrassment .
With the occasional anecdotal instance of professionalism.
As a whole it needs a total revamp.
right wing 2/23/2013 9:45:52 PM Report many bets...yes a whole what was it....oh yes..two.
The soup kitchen is in bad shape if they are including my 200 bucks on their spread sheets...but I'm sure they aren't worried cause you give till it hurts...right.

So fly, you sound like you are disenchanted or simply not enjoying the "free" health care brought about by one of your socialist idols, Tommy boy.
If your issue is so serious and the service here so poor why do you not go South of the border and spend some of those big over paid dollars you made while teaching.
With that golden pension it would hardly make a dent, right?
You could simply slide on over to Quebec where they have private hospitals and pay, it would be done and over with in a heart beat.
Please don't tell me you're one of those that will bitch but not part with a buck cause the bitching just feels so good.
Maybe you could call Michael Moore and he could make a new film called...Sicker N' Sick...Canada's Real Health Care...seen through the eyes of an American.
Interesting thing about bleeding hearts, they can't tolerate the sight of their own blood.

I am a chronic complainer of the new barn (SAh) not the people in it. It's a butler building folks constructed from the cheapest materials they could find. The contractors putting it up made a killing on extras, it was the big cash cow in town for years. The people who work there are burnt out, exhausted, the ratios of client to nurses have reached abusive levels while the bureaucrats get to go home at five. How about ideally four clients to one nurse as to the reality of night shift, twelve patients one nurse. Yep she's working just fine.

...and you opinion of our hospital is based on...

...I'll tell you something "pal", what I have seen in the last couple of months is completely against what some of you few ignorant, big mouth asses (thank God)are spewing.
When you talk to other families that are in the same place dealing with life and death of a family member and praising the puts it in the perspective it really deserves.
Is the place perfect, no.
Prior to the new hospital we listened to the same blowhard assholes do nothing but complain about the old place.
I am expecting that if somebody in your family (and I hope you don't) needs immediate care you will be calling a cab and heading over to Sault Michigan...right!

I guess they must have been doing something right.
