bounder 2/21/2013 7:16:14 AM Report

Hello all,I think everyone is going to the red room.To much BS here.
RLE 2/21/2013 7:20:19 AM Report

bounder: Shhhhhhhhh! Keep the secret.
Grace 2/21/2013 7:41:36 AM Report

Good morning...this one is for Right Wing!

Drop Coverage? Cut Hours? Big Firms Grapple With Obamacare

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/drop-coverage-cut-hours-big-155940693.html
BIG BROTHER 2/21/2013 7:50:25 AM Report

'Drop coverage, cut hours, start building an Ark!! The end of the world is nigh!
BIG BROTHER 2/21/2013 7:53:04 AM Report

Lots of money to start useless wars in god forsaken countries though!! What a bunch of maroons!!
Grump 2/21/2013 8:03:05 AM Report

Good morning all. I read Sault Today this am and unemployment is 10% in the Sault, the highest in the North. It's a good thing David O. has been doing his job so I wonder when Bryan will start doing his. Problem with him is he graduated the City Hall class the same year as Mayor Deb. Have a great day everyone.
Mr. Poster 2/21/2013 8:21:20 AM Report

Hayes certainly debunks the theory that SSM needs a member of the "ruling " party in order to get federal funds rolling in. Methinks Tony did as much or more.
Wisenheimer 2/21/2013 8:30:34 AM Report

That's the problem .. no more money to "roll in" ...stimulus money gone, Ontario $19 billion in debt. Time to pay the piper.
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 8:38:40 AM Report

Not to panic.
Free enterprise and Big Business will just take care of us all.
theprotector 2/21/2013 8:54:09 AM Report

He doesnt care we have lost dozens of federal and provincial jobs here, from what I understand all he has to do is make a phone call to stop the job loss. Hey they maybe lazy ass government employees but they get paid well and are part of this community, lets do something to keep as many jobs as possbile rather than hmmmm NOTHING!
FunMan 2/21/2013 9:13:36 AM Report

I agree, we don't want any job losses if it can be helped. However they could slow things down by not being so generous. E.g. City Council gave their management 2 percent plus raises and also agreed to pay for their benefits to age 75 as told to me by a City Management buddy.
right wing 2/21/2013 9:28:17 AM Report

Wisenheimer

Don't waste your words on cement heads that believe that the government should take care of all.
Once again hypocrisy and ignorance take a front seat.
They view the largest source of tax dollars, (Free enterprise and Big Business) economic stability and employment, that the government depends on, as "evil".
Tax those bastards and tax em hard!
We have just had a perfect example here in Ontario of what happens when a government screws us economically with the most horrendous energy plan ever...they just walk away.
But not to worry, just read the headlines, they voted in the first openly gay female Premier...all will be well...just think "green".
cathyh 2/21/2013 9:47:36 AM Report

right wing: What does "openly gay" have to do with political theory? What if Tim Hudak is openly heterosexual or bisexual, does that have a bearing on how he thinks politically? I think not. He is still a nut case. Transitioning from that to our municipality and the snow removal situation. Albert St., is a mess and it's a main thoroughfare. The section at Etienne Brule school is very dangerous. It's more like a cow path. Johnson Ave. is disgraceful etc., etc.
skipper dave 2/21/2013 9:47:52 AM Report

Congrats rw you have not let me down - Mud slinging the Premier because of her sexual preference. What great leap in logic in your mind makes her being a Lesbian detrimental to her political abilities? Of course you will come back with "I didn't say that". Let the demons out "Are dubya". We are here for you!
skipper dave 2/21/2013 10:01:25 AM Report

Now there you go, qualifying your discussion with a liberal splash of ferry dust " Free enterprise and Big Business) as the largest source of taxes. That was taken from what report, chapter and verse? And here I mistakingly thought big business and free enterprise were the perpetrators of avoiding paying taxes. If not them then it must be us. What continues to puzzle me is your ongoing support of the 1% money elite when you are not part of that group. When your Plumbing days are gone hope you have enough socked away to not have to stoop for safety net support for the elderly that the rich have provided for you to live out your golden years.
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 10:09:57 AM Report

News flash...10% of people are gay.
Always have been. Always will be.
However - a growing number of people are jerks.
We can't change the former.
But we can ignore the latter.
cathyh 2/21/2013 10:18:30 AM Report

On another topic. I just read that the federal gov't is "visiting" EI recipients at home, surprise, surprise, and delivering forms to fill out and "requesting" a one-on-one interview at a later date. It sounds a lot like intimidation to me and it also reminds me of the communist system when workers were intimidated by "comrades."
Bad Dawg 2/21/2013 10:38:52 AM Report

Don't blame someone for being gay.... blame parents for having gay kids.

Yeah sounds stupid doesn't it?? So what if a political leader is gay... she found someone to love and I believe they have a child.... sounds like jealousy to me!!
Bad Dawg 2/21/2013 10:41:39 AM Report

cathy... hahahaha I think they are just making sure people are willing and able to go back to work..... like the phone survey asks.
right wing 2/21/2013 11:01:27 AM Report

Bazinga!

They all took the bait, as expected.
I did not say anything detrimental about a persons sexual preference.
I simply stated "read the headlines".
It was the media and the Premier that made it a huge deal that she was gay.
Cathyh said it best "What does "openly gay" have to do with political theory?"
Nothing cathyh, absolutely nothing.
That is my point, period!
I could care less what any politicians adult sexual preference is, I am interested in their abilities to do the job.
The media and the Ontario liberals sure thought it meant something, I couldn't read squat on our new Premier without her sexual preference being front and centre.
In my world not caring about a persons adult sexual preference is the definition of acceptance.
Why do I need to know?
Of course Libs are the first to throw out the "in" statements like "I have several friends that are gay".
I am sure your gay friends are happy to be the poster for your vision of acceptance.

skipper dave

It is a fact. I have proven it before.
The governement statistics are available on who pays what.
I could care less what you believe about it.

Fly...10% ?...an inflated percentage, it's more like 3 to 5% but again...who cares?

right wing 2/21/2013 11:10:00 AM Report

...one last thing skippy...my "plumbing days" were gone twenty years ago.

You all have a nice day now.
Big Bad Bob 2/21/2013 11:14:50 AM Report

Remember the Honeymooners, starring Jackie Gleason et al? In one episode his wife and he call in a plumber for a job which in the event requires about five minutes and for which he presents them with a horrendous bill. “That’s worse than for a doctor!” complains Jackie. “I know,” replies the plumber,” I used to be a doctor.”
(Sorry folks. I just couldn’t resist recalling that one after all the tedious anti-Obama vitriol we have been asked to swallow over the last few years.)
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 11:17:26 AM Report

Who cares indeed?
Sexual orientation has no impact on public performance.
To say that only the left wing media and some parties make it an issue is silly.
Yet some continue to mention it in their comments on our new premier all the while decrying others mention of it.
We continue to live in a world where politicians line their pockets with our money, traditional public trusts such as safe roads, clean water and equal access to affordable health care are being diminished.
All of this in the guise of the myth that the private sector can do a better job than greedy, lazy public workers.
I will judge Ms Gwynn on how well she extricates us from Dalton's mess.
right wing 2/21/2013 11:34:54 AM Report

...and the biggest fish desperately trying to spit the hook while he bails his boat with a fury.

Bahhahaha...
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 11:53:50 AM Report

Further proof once again that some people just need attention.
Even if it is negative attention.
Must be a slow day on the turd farm.
Brianne 2/21/2013 12:04:02 PM Report

CathyH... we won't have to worry about "ei" visits here....... there is no one working at the ei office here anymore :)
T-rat 2/21/2013 12:04:22 PM Report

Hey, what a fun couple of days in here. Bounder starts the day off with reference to "to (sic) much BS" on this site and then several step up to the plate to prove him right.

rw makes the first reference to Ontario's "openly gay female Premier", for whatever reason, and then has to try and defend himself as a broad-minded and tolerant human being.

Skipper then goes after rw for "mudslinging the Premier because of her sexual preference." Yet, I recall the same Skipper dissing the dead yesterday and "mudslinging" a Catholic saint when he said, "Try me on Mom theresa. Now there was one sick twisted little sister". So, I took him up on it but alas.....no response.
realitycheck 2/21/2013 12:42:00 PM Report

"OK Skipper. Let 'er fly on Mother Theresa. Should be interesting."

T-rat:
Are you really saying you want more of this from skipper dave? Remember he has lost some parts and from his comment about Mother Theresa I would say he is in the process of losing some more. I am really surprised some of the Catholics on here didn't take off on him. It was a gross comment about a woman revered not only by Catholics but by those in other faiths as well.
skipper dave 2/21/2013 12:43:30 PM Report

Sorry t-rat for not getting back to you, still trying to dig up dirt on Mom Theresa but am finding the vatican is not a good source to mean mouth one of their biggest fundraisers. Any body here know if she was Gay? So far all I can find is she would have made a wonderful candidate for wrinkle cream.
T-rat 2/21/2013 12:45:33 PM Report

realitycheck: Skipper's keyboarding with one hand is one thing but having his foot in his mouth shouldn't impede his response time.
skipper dave 2/21/2013 12:59:09 PM Report

OK T-rat - I'll be serious with you for a moment, just a moment then I have to go back to look at the fluff in my navel.
"religiously inclined people who seriously believe that “the world is helped by suffering” and “sufferings are evidence of God's will” are delusional and members of the more depressing half of the human race. Such people are not to be congratulated and considered “blessed” or “holy” but on the contrary feared and despised. " This is mom at her best and yes it is a quote.
Did you know that in her hospices there was not a penny spent on pain relief, you prayed with the sick and suffering while they transitioned their way to the other side. Glorifying and not relieving pain - sick, sick and more sick. that's enough today for you and I T-rat.
T-rat 2/21/2013 1:02:40 PM Report

Sorry Skipper. We seem to be out of synch in responses. I wouldn't want to see you stuck for mud. Try this on:

She was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Albania. At 18 she joined the Sisters of Loreto, an IRISH community of nuns in India. She once said, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier". On this site that would almost be considered blasphemy or at least anarchy. Some sick twisted little sister! But you did get the 'little' right, in fact she was downright petite in stature but it would take some damned big men to even try and fill her shoes. Oh, ya. And I correct all, myyself included. It is Mother Teresa.
bounder 2/21/2013 1:12:03 PM Report

There is nothing wrong with being openly gay, however as a premier of Ontario there is a host of countries that frown on gay people. So if she where to go for a business trip to those nations it would be a huge waste of public money, she would not be able to represent Ontario properly.
JUSTANOTHERNAME 2/21/2013 1:58:36 PM Report

Bounder those same countries usually frown on women in power too so really who cares.
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 1:59:04 PM Report

bounder...really?
Do any countries 'frown' on being stupid?
If they do we are screwed.
cathyh 2/21/2013 2:15:25 PM Report

Brianne: I didn't know that there was no ei office here anymore.
learningaswego 2/21/2013 3:56:08 PM Report

Is it not true that Mother Teresa worked in THE most poverty-stricken, destitute places in the world - i.e. the slums of Calcutta? By comparison, it would make our welfare system look like they'd won the lottery.

Maybe there was no money, no drugs, for pain relief in the slums where she cared for the poorest of poor?
Grump 2/21/2013 4:33:28 PM Report

I guess I'm going to have to stop doubling up. I now don't know if my post was pulled because I called Hayes a post or because I called rw a B.S.er. My goodness what a conundrum. Oh woe is me. lol
flyhawk25 2/21/2013 6:25:37 PM Report

Grump...heavens.
I'd take that as a badge of honor. How can anyone be offended by an opinion based on truth?
AceOfBass 2/21/2013 6:34:48 PM Report

The Ontario Liberal Premier and her Cabinet are more like The Village People.

She is ugly and so is her partner.

The Premier was just caught in a lie about the gas plants. She said she was not at the meeting when documented proof states that she was there.
AceOfBass 2/21/2013 7:06:51 PM Report

After her recent comments that she did not attend "any meetings" in relation to the cancellation of the Mississauga and Oakville gas plants, it’s clear that Premier Kathleen Wynne needs to come clean with Ontarians.

Despite her denials, Kathleen Wynne was in fact sitting at the table when cabinet was briefed on "Project Vapour" -- their secret code word for cancelling the gas plants.
Grump 2/21/2013 7:26:54 PM Report

You are right Ace, morons deserve Hudak, so lets get rid of this lady quickly. LMAO
AceOfBass 2/21/2013 7:31:53 PM Report

Grump let me guess you would like to have the NDP and Horwath. They would be worst than what we have now.
Sorry there Grump Ontario is going to have to go PC to right this ship.
Grump 2/21/2013 7:48:41 PM Report

Ace again you have proved my point. Well done.
Brianne 2/21/2013 11:27:06 PM Report

lol CathyH......... there's an office, but only computers do do your claim on, no one to talk to..... it's ridiculous
