In the Fables of Aesop there is a tale of "the Duck and the Mascot" employed as minions to the emperor and both get squashed by an ACME anvil falling from a canyon cliff. The little umbrella opened seconds before the fatal impact, but did not assuage the bloody splattering on the desert sand.
If only real life would unfold like that....

According to Romney at last night's regurgitation of "we can fix that but cannot tell you exactly how but you must trust us even though our numbers don't add up"......it is "more better" for working gals to have a flexible schedule so they can be home by seven to cook dinner.

Last nights debate...Good to see the One finally show up..the air was good for him..not as light headed as last time.
Still he was pretty angry. Not bi-polar like Biden..

We have not yet, my record sucks but don't you worry.
The left will focus on the minor wording here and there, like stats already did.

I now think - surprisingly, that could actually happen. The debates have been one of the best things to happen to the Romney campaign.
To me, what is coming out loud and clear from the debates is the fundamental difference between O and R, and can usually be applied to most leftist vs conservative politicians:
Obama is a talker.
Romney is a doer.

I was unable to listen to last night’s debate. Today the French media nevertheless appear to be unanimous in considering that Obama won it hands down. Incidentally, did either candidate say anything of importance or significance for Canada?

I did not have to time to watch it.

Irregardless and without doubt in me, my global perspective is that it would be best for the WORLD for Mr. Romney to be the next President of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I agree with right wing - it is a dead heat.
It just underlined how dumb the average voter is.
As long as the Republicans continue to block every idea this president proposes nothing will get done.
The fact that Ryan leads the charge for obfuscation and Romney flip flops more than a pole dancer at a picnic would drive me nuts.
But the Democrats with Pelosi were at least as guilty.
In the meantime big banks are doing just fine and the defense budget is bullet proof. It looks like they won't stop building naval vessels until there is one for every member of congress and the senate.
Yet they continue to get their butts kicked by two dollar Walmart technology.
Just spend baby spend.

Well I hate to say this but Canada and the US are already doomed because both the PM and the President don't know how to run their own countries properly. Right Wing---When you ask me for some of Romney's failures but said I can't use Investments as an example--That is an unfair challenge because most of Romney's Successes and Failures have come with Investments Firms.
I have read Wikipedia's file on Romney and he has as many losses as failures in his business ventures.
He has avoided paying as much taxes as he should have by putting a lot of money in Off-Shore Banks.
And some of the Companies that he had investments in did go Off shore for lower Labour costs after he left those companies.
I have to leave for now but rest assured I will be back with more on Romney that you won't like to read because you only write positive thngs about Romney.

I think the US election could go either way.
Far more troubling to me is what McGuinty is doing to Ontario.
I don't think even his mother figured he could have won a majority. But to weasel out the way he did stinks.
Granted he's not the first and won't be the last but the system lends itself to this abuse.
That still does not make it palatable.

The word terror only came out half way through his speach and right after he referenced 9/11. Leading up to this he never used the word terror or terrorist to describe the attack. He could have opened with that but buried the word.

He could have appointed an Interim Premier and let the Legislature continue.

I can't help but pass on a little observation. If you divided this site between the informed and the maroons then Obama couldn't lose. Rw if I were you I would change teams as you may be judged by the company you keep. Now collectively we need to get rid of Marissa. Not that it means diddly but the moderator was out of line in her correction, the lefty kiss ass media is trying to make it into a big deal and the fact is Romney was correct.

I did my due diligence and just to please the resident lefties I googled the crap out it and then did some copy and pasting.
Just so my good friends the little lefties would get to know the truth and not have to do the research.
The word terrorist never does get used, the word terror gets used a full seven paragraphs into Obama's speech.
The following are all statements that Obama made prior to him using the word terror.
"Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi."
"The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack."
"And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people."
"there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence."
" Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans."
So Obama called it an attack (twice) which was shocking and outrageous and he referred to what later proved to be terrorists as attackers and killers.
This is the full context of when he actually used the word terror, not terrorist attack or terrorists, but terror.
"Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.
As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

Anyone who has any reliable type experience in BUSINESS Ownership, Administration and Management knows it is TOUGH to have a decent BUSINESS.
The WORK that it takes to stay open and the WORK needed to have credible GOOD BUSINESS SENSE is not of the *piece of cake* type amount.

I think it was the right decision to make regarding the 2 officers. Will it make a difference? Not likely... a young man will still be dead and the driver still not found guilty of anything. I also think that the 2 offices will get off of the charges but maybe just maybe the slanted justice system will fool me.

Even though he beat Romney in the debate last night and even though a few will spend hours trying to prove or disprove whether he said "terror" or "terrorist" the next day or two weeks later, he knows that his job is not for real. The whole thing is just a game. In terms of the economy, it will make little difference who wins except for the very rich or the poor. In terms of foreign policy, I don't think, in the end, there will be a difference, except that Republicans tend to be less diplomatic and more rw.ish In terms of world perception of the USA, I think it will be huge, but that may not really mean a lot as the US seems to be sinking into an isolationalist thing anyway. Their economy, with either as president will improve over the next few years, but, I feel, that Romney will be considered a dolt on the world stage (as he already is). I hope Obama wins, but I'm not sure if he does.

-getting out of Afghanistan; and he will leave it in a mess.
