I have to agree rw has taken a dump on Mitt. There was an interesting video on Yahoo re, Romney. Mitt has single landedly cost the USA more jobs than the last downturn. His company goes in takes over a company, fires all it's employees, hires a few back cheap, whips the stock up with the help of his lovely Banker pals, then guts the company and lets it go bankrupt. Now here is a man who runs on personal greed alone and you want to make this single minded destroyer the President of the USA. Before you drink any more cool-aid engage your Google as it won't be hard to find as he has laid waste to companies in almost every state. There are no words to describe the things this man has done that I could print here.

I can't wait for the debate when Romney finally and specifically outlines how he will turn the US economy around; his plan for the US military all over the world and specifically back home in hospitals and their retirement - besides becoming 'contractors' tasked with closing factories.

The only difference is Obama took a pile of taxpayers money and bailed it out immediately with basically ZERO chance of ever getting any of it back.

He did not have the experience to let GM do what many other "to big to fail" corporations have done, file, then restructure and move forward.

The President can only propose things.The other two segments - the House and the Senate - actually make the laws.
In this past four years the GOP has consistently blocked every presidential initiative.
It is no dark secret that the Tea Party led agenda is to dump Obama.
A good example is Speaker Boehner's blocking of the budget which Bob Woodward recounts in his book.
Only silly people would see Obama as a saviour. And he has never run or rundown a company. But he has been the commander-in-chief. Romney still has no position on America's armed forces.
You don't have to have been a soldier (ie. Eisenhower)to lead. The constitution is very careful about all of those separations.
To follow your silliness through - was Bush's failure to help New Orleans because his basement had never been flooded?
To suggest that only a business person can fix the economy not only is simplistic pap but it doesn't sell well to all of the unemployed whose jobs have been sent offshore.

But one of them has four years experience and the other does not.
After one of the longest primaries in my memory Romney is the best they can do.
And there is a third party - the Tea Party. They have usurped the moderate Republican middle ground and flooded the system with doctrinaire elitists.
This too shall pass.
But it has to start with a GOP house cleaning.

"One has 4 years experience and the other doesn't", lets take a look at this, Obama served in the Illinois senate and then in the U S senate 3 terms and 1 term respectively. Romney served 1 term as Governor of Massachusetts. So it would appear on the surface that Obama has more political experience than the other, HOWEVER, when one takes a closer look while in the various senates, there does not appear to be much he put his name to. Romney on the other hand, while Governor eliminated a projected 3 billion dollar deficit and also helped develop and sign into law the Massachusetts Health Care Reform, that provides near universal health care..
So one one side you have someone who has raised the deficit and the other who has eliminated it, and one who has proposed a health care universal system which no one really wants and one who has one than the people seem happy with..
So who would you vote for!!!

Prehaps we can agree to being cynics, where politics is concerned. This is why I really think that instead of Law and Business all runners for top office should have to be History Majors. If they had been the U S would not have got into Vietnam or a lot of these other little "police actions" After the French Foreign Legion got it A** handed to it at Dien Ben Phu they should have realised they would not win or even draw in that country. In my day, we did not ship our dead home, which is why there are so many British Cementaries all over the world. The point is many folks that did not use any kind of drugs on daily basis or "recreational" have become addicted to these types of pain killers, Doctors were prescribing them like candy and unsuspecting patients got hooked.

Much as it "pains" me, and Skipper you know it, too, I have to agree with rw that getting addicted to pain-killers is insidious. An elderly relative who was the last person to get high on anything with serious longterm pain had Oxy-Contin and then its successor. The dosage kept changing, there were so many doctors and so the pill containers kept accumulating and she was starting to take them like candy. In the end my wife and I confiscated all the old medicine. We set it on our kitchen counter and speculated what the street value was. I don't know but I would guess well over $1000. We took it back to the pharmacy! Rules have changed even in the last year. Good news is that she's not addicted to them any more. I hold Rush responsible for a lot but not for that!

He gutted quite a number of American Companies and after stripping them let them go into bankruptcy putting thousands of workers out of jobs. Check out Marietta Florida where he closed a long established firm that built commercial washers and dryers. This was just one sucessfull company he put out of business for personal profit. Now I'm not some goody twoshoes but this is just plain wrong on every level and rw you are bright enough to get that so no more shuck and jive.

I see that everyone has their favourite in the fast-approaching American election. No shortage of low blows by either side.
I spend a lot of time in the US and while Romney is getting slain by the media daily, it is really quite difficult to find anyone who voted for Barry in last election. At least they don't admit to it.
Regardless, as learningaswego says, our neighbours are in serious trouble. It's like you are up to neck in a barrel of crap and somebody is throwing baseballs at your head. Do you duck or don't you? Lose, lose situation in either case.

Glad you got it...I fear they will not either, that old saying about those who do not regard history are bound to repeat it, is very true. After most major recessions/depressions there is generally a major war to restore the balance, what the third one will be like, I do not wish to contemplate or see.

Right Wing---I said in my post that there was more to Rush Limbaugh's Bio and I will post more later.
I was only making note of some of the things that you said about Rush.
For one thing--You said that Rush was over his drug fix but he used another person to fake an illness and get some drugs that he wanted and he was given them.
I am using some links that you like to quote but you only quote what you want to quote from those stories.
I can play that game too and Rush's faults are easy to find.
He has enough faults that anyone in their right mind should not be idolizing him like you do R.W.

Right Wing--I do not use Geritol nor soak my feet in hot water---I know that you would like it to be that way but I have avoided most of the things that bother the human body and--at age 80---I have no need of any supplements.
Try some other way to insult me R.W. because your last one failed.
