Morning All..
Yes a little damp this Am, so no dusty roads, especially that one that our city CAO says brings no benifit to the city. Next he will set up toll booths so people who drive into the city have to pay to use the city streets, but hush my mouth, don't put ideas into his head!! I am not sure about Prince twsp set up but if people pay taxes out there they should be able to get grants and such to fix that piece of road, LSB's and SLB's can and do that for large projects..
Well looks like the mist and low cloud are burning off, so time to go back to work... you all have a safe day out there and remember those damn yellow things with flashing lights are on the road again...

Mallet it's a tough call re roads outside the city. That said can you imagine the squack from city tax payers if the city started working on roads for non city taxpayers. RE Red Rock (Maki Rd ) if those folks with their large expensive homes set aside for a few years what they are saving not paying city taxes they could have a highway in there. Also as with the City they would be eligable for grant money. It's hard but one can't have it both ways.

I don't think they live out there tax free, I live outside the city and pay taxes, I.E. Provincial Land Tax, Education Taxes, and Road Board Taxes. The Road Board taxes pay to have the roads surface dressed and maintence and snow plowing, (grading when it was all gravel). If that part of Maki Road is in Prince township then they are the people who should be taking care of it, and should increase their portion of the tax bill that applies to roads..

Mallet I believe that at least part of that road is in Prince and you are right it's Prince's responsibility not Sault Ste Maries. So Joe was right in what he said.
