Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a safe and happy weekend. Mallet you have a great place out there and it was good to see you, meet some of your family and bump into some other old friends as well. Thanks again. Sorry our time was limited. On a further note, no Bobby I didn't find the damn beer fridge he really has it well hidden. lol.

Morning folks...
Well it's a little overcast out here this Am. Very calm through, lake is flat and the leaves just hang there, but I think it will turn out sunny.
JP quackers I would start to be careful, hunting season is coming up, and you don't want to make those sounds too loud in case you get mistaken!!

Grump.. Nice you showed up and we have mutual friends.. Yeah we like it out here. The sunsets are terrific and when the lake gets angry, thats a whole new sight..
Well the holiday season has just about ended, and now we have to fight those yellow buses, that stop every 25 yards..

Do not worry Grump, I'd figured it out long ago, there's not such a thing as beer fridge, and I risk, not even the first word in the sentence. I know well before hand when someone like to please you with the view of the lake and the sunset... screw you... give me a good BBQ with good meaty short ribs, roast prime ribs, or a one piece rump roast, or a flank steak, wall well washed with a heavy vino tinto (red wine), and a good nap under the trees.
If you have a beer fridge, make sure it is wood, then we can burn it in the pit.

Hi Pink Peony, Yes I`m going with a friend, CCr was her favorite band, It`s not the original Band, But they will be playing some oldies. My friend also has ccr tatooed on her leg which is also the first letters of her families names.

Thanks for the Fogarty reminder. I bought tickets the first day they were on sale and put them away in a drawer and forgot about them. I'll have to dig them out and remind myself of the date. It should be a great show.

Was up on the roof... and could see the black clouds gathering... cleared up and just made it 5 mins later and it was P'ing down... like those water drops with water spouts...seems to have passed over now ... Just the occaisional flash of lightning...

I got two sides of my foundation painted before the rain came. What a difference!! Looks great!! Amazing what a couple of coats of paint does. Have to wait for my flowers to die in the side garden before I finish up.

I'm baking a very nice brown bread and have the butter and honey right here... ahhhhh, an evening with rain, fresh baked bread with butter and honey and a nice large coffee with milk...

Grump, good luck with that...getting back to "normal" (whatever that is).
I fixed my computer (not sure how, lol). Might have been fixed by just closing my browser and re-opening it again. See--don't, can't, question??
I sure do miss the days when we use to rent a seasonal site at Pancake Bay for the summer. Thunderstorms were great! I loved watching the lightening striking the water. Mallet, you're fortunate to be able to live there year round.

Sorry PP. I see you have already got it going. I had the same problem before and I forgot how I fixed it so I googled it and then went through the procedure it said and conveyed the message to you. If it happens again that is how to fix it. Somehow the keyboard gets converted to French even though we don't change it ourselves.

Spellchecker, thanks. I believe that's what I did. It was already set to that but I reset it and hit "apply". I must of hit a hot key?? (is that what they're called) by mistake with a finger nail.

P.P. when we we young we had a camp on Superior just north of Gros Cap. We were able to watch some great storms on the lake while sheltered on shore.
