Good morning Roomies!

I'm already in this morning...it's going to be a scorcher!

Quandry: sunscreen contains more carcinogens than the sun. Do I use it on the kids or not????

I do cover them in, but am I harming them by doing so? Research suggests I am :(

I don't want to be a bad Granny...lol

I hope you all have access to some coolness today--you're going to need it!

Have a great weekend :)

3tac, it's so hard to know what to do eh. I know what you mean!

I used sunscreen on my son and I when he was young. I gave into the fear mongering and became afraid of the sun. If I could live that all over again, I wouldn't put any of that stuff on him or myself. There's a lot of fear mongering...to me, a lot of it is to promote this product or that drug or whatever.

as long as they can scare us into buying their products, Big Pharma will rule our lives PP :(

3T I'm in there with ya... have been in the pool every day for at least a couple of hours.
Not a real big fan of sun block put on a t-shirt if you are spending much time in the sun WEARING a hat in the sun is probably the biggest boo-boo people make even if you are in the water.
I have such wonderful grand kids. If I knew how good they would have turned out I woulda had them first...LOL. My grand daughter (the golfer) is in another Jr. PGA tourney this week end for 9 - 11 yr. olds. She lives in LA and has one 6th, two 3rds, and a win in a play off so far this summer. AWESOME girl.

3tac, the last time I took any medication (which contributed to my accident) was almost 6 years ago. I dumped my doctor about 3 years ago because it seemed that all he ever did was try to give me prescriptions. I've gotten pretty ill once, this past winter, but persevered and took any natural approach to help with clearing things up.

I don't feel any crazier than when I was on medication either, lol. In fact, I think much more clearly now, although I think in a clear, crazy fashion now.

I don't diss all medication though. Insulin is life support for my son. Without it, he dies.

Budster, 3tac, can you stop bragging about your pools please. All I have is my bathtub! I just fill it up with cold water and splash around in there, lol.

PP you are right about drugs. I took my mother to a heart specialist at St Mikes years ago. He reviewed her case and then went through her drugs which she had been told to bring. There were quite a few and he went through them one at a time and threw over half of them away. She began to feel better after that.
