David Root

Occasionally described as a "Jack-of-all-trades and Master of none" because of his lengthy and varied work history, David is probably best described as a musician, writer, and teacher.

David completed his second degree (BA Music) at Algoma University, then obtained a BEd from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. He is currently an Occasional (Supply) Teacher with the ADSB.

You might also see David out on our roads teaching young people to drive. Tired of simply complaining about the number of bad drivers he was seeing, David became a Driving Instructor so he could help shape the upcoming generation of new drivers.

He also volunteers at his church where, among other activities, he teaches Sunday School.

First posting under the alias ‘Bookworm,’ he eventually adopted ‘Sam C’ as his alter ego, and enjoys engaging in thoughtful and civil discussions of topical issues.
