Living dead invade downtown (35 photos)

Dozens of undead gathered at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre Saturday afternoon for the 7th annual Soo Zombie Walk.

Dozens of undead gathered at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre Saturday afternoon for the 7th annual Soo Zombie Walk.

The celebration of everything zombie featured ghoulish games like Limb Toss and Fishin’ for Fingers; freaky photos by Melissa Connors; morbid music from Greg Callaghan, Aggressive Acoustic and Sykotyk Rampage; creepy contests; and freaky face painting by Perfectly Painted Faces.

Despite yesterday's ghastly weather, the walker horde departed the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre at 6 p.m. for the heart of downtown as a small but brave group of resistance fighters struggled to keep our city - and our brains - safe.

Admission to the Soo Zombie Walk included donations of non-perishable food items in support of the Soup Kitchen Community Centre.
