DADA Leopold Minute, a clockmaker by profession, has been repairing, adjusting and reconditioning watches, clocks and alarm clocks for his customers for several years.

Split between his passion and his pastime, for but a few seconds Leopold is hypnotized and rocked to sleep by ticking sounds in his shop....He is a shy, detailed and meticulous man who becomes lost in a daydream.

He is then suddenly filled with a sweet insanity that he expresses through dance, juggling and acrobatics.

Guided by his extraordinary conscience and his musicality, Leopold possesses an exceptional background on which to develop his own personal rhythmic style.

Stunned by his ever-present conscience, he is torn between his shyness and his desire to take risks, between the twirls of accordion and the softness of the cello.

Share these moments of bewildering entertainment.

You will be intrigued! What exactly is Leopold’s pastime?

THE GREAT JAZZ HISTORY MYSTERY - ON TOUR

A YOUNG AUDIENCE DANCE PRODUCTION – CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 6 AUDIENCES

The Great Jazz History Mystery has been co-created by DJD Artistic Associate and Resident Choreographer Kimberley Cooper and writer Cory Bowles.

Inspired by Looney Tunes, Dr. Seuss and, of course the history of jazz, the show takes the audience around the globe and back and forth through time.

There is a wedding, a funeral, a robbery, a graduation, many crazy characters and of course a lot of dancing!

Keep your eyes and ears out for “The Clues!

Things are looking pretty flat when the world’s dancers lose all their jazz.

Now, it’s up to the coolest sleuth around, “The Detective,” to search for clues and find the missing jazz.

With help from the mysterious and zany guide “The Vibe,” and a few tricks from the dancers, he searches high and low, now and then, here and there and everywhere, around the world and back again...and discovers that jazz dance is a lot closer than we think!

The Queen Of Colours is based on a children's book by German author Jutta Bauer but Olbrich says his company has altered the story.

The show unfolds on a small, arched screen where the puppet queen appears.

Noell draws the world around her, projecting images from the castle to her living quarters, filling each scene with block colours as the queen calls for her favourite colour, chopping and changing between her colourful best friends like a fickle child.

Olbrich, Noell and the "court musician", Alexander Voynov, have toured the show the world over, from Austria to Canada, Mexico, Switzerland and China.

Each country responds to the show with similar fervour, Olbrich says, but when the court painter created a world awash with red in China, audiences were particularly vocal.

Olbrich believes the show awakens children's latent creativity - and he has the letters to prove it.

Over the Rainbow Children’s Entertainment is a non-profit committee of the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre and supported by the Canadian Heritage Foundation.

Our goal is to bring families together to foster a love of music, fun, and drama.

The executive committee is always looking for volunteers and corporate sponsors, especially to sponsor workshops for local students while the performers are in town.

Founded in 1992, the series was resurrected by the Arts Council and committed volunteers in 2008 after a seven year hiatus.
