Growing up in rural Alberta, it's not surprising there was a lot bluegrass in the Rempel household.

Curtis and Brad Rempel, known to Canadian country fans as High Valley, were in Sault Ste. Marie Thursday night for a performance at the Machine Shop with guest local openers Bone Yard.

While bluegrass pulses through the veins of the Rempel brothers, Brad told Local2's Shaylan Spurway that combined with their producer's pop sensibilities, High Valley's music is artfully dubbed pop grass.

Thursday's set included their Top 10 hits County Line and Make You Mine, and marked the first time High Valley performed their latest single She's With Me live in concert.

The boys are currently on tour in support of their October 2014 release County Line and will return to Ontario in August to host the Boots and Hearts Festival.
