Italian Festival of Mushrooms at the AGA

A sagra is a rural festival usually held in Italy, in the open air with folk music, dancing and games.

Many sagre are based around one or more culinary specialties, in this case mushrooms. 

Sagre Del Funghi, or the festival of mushrooms will take place on Saturday, September 27 at 7 p.m. at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 10 East Street.

It features live music and dance, family style mushroom risotto from Franzisi's, a cash bar and Italian wine.  

This family style Italian feast and party at the Gallery is a fundraiser for Sarah Febbraro's 2015 exhibition Kitchen in the Basement.
