According to proponents of gelotology, laughter carries a number of health benefits, including lowered blood pressure, increased oxygenation of the blood, reduced stress, and improved creativity, alertness and memory.

This upcoming performance may be your ticket to better health.

Sault comedian JP Naphan is pleased to present a night of comedy at Franzisi's Restaurant, 265 Bruce St., on Wednesday, July 30.

The night will feature the comedic talents of Naphan along with Ray Lemieux and Kris Bonaparte, the host and founder of The Comedy Lounge which hosts regular events in Toronto, Montreal and beyond.

Doors open at 7:30 with comedians hitting the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at Franzisi's or by calling 705-419-1257.

You must be 19 or older to attend.
