The annual QUONTA One Act Festival Workshop begins at 7 a.m. with refreshments followed by workshops from 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 3 p.m. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. of Reflections and What's On Your Mind. Public adjudication follows the performances with refreshments available.

The Mill Market, 35 Canal Drive, officially opens for the season with a number of local producers and vendors. The Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entomica will celebrate its official opening from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Algoma Farmers' Market opens for the season at the Bondar Pavilion. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to noon.

The 2nd Annual Lupine Festival at the Train Depot in Brimley, Michigan is a celebration of local artists and crafters with bouncy houses, local organizations, music in the park and food vendors. A pancake breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Francis Church, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. kids carnival, hay rides, crafters market, food vendors, face painting and Ice Cream Social. Noon to 9 p.m. enjoy music in the park at the Train Depot.

Motocross and ATV racing at Runway Park begins at 10 a.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids aged 10 and under, and free for children 5 and younger. Check out more info on upcoming events at runwaypark.net

Camp Day runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tim Hortons on Great Northern Road. Festivities include a BBQ, car show, mascots, magician, live music, games, and many guest appearances and displays from the Canadian Forces, police, fire, and others. All proceeds go to support the Tim Hortons Children's Foundation which sends local kids to camp.

Soo Dance Unlimited presents its annual recital at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre at 6:30 p.m.

CoverFly plays the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., at 9 p.m.

Mustang Heart plays the Esquire Club, 102 Second Line West, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Tym Morrison performs at the Harp Bar and Grill, 701 Pine St., from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Cherry Crush plays the Rockstar Bar, 864 Queen St. East. Show time is 10:30 p.m.

The Sault Symphony Orchestra hosts Musicfest XXI: Bratwurst, Beer and Beethoven at the Bondar Pavilion from noon until sunset. Performers include the Rolling River Trio, The Pine Tones, The Suicide Kings and more. The day includes face painting, balloon creations, a photo booth, crafters and vendors, kids shows from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and much more. Admission is $10 for adults, and free for children aged 12 and younger.
